« Visiting southern Scotland, this location and quaint harbor town met our needs. The hotel is fine - well located and perfect for visiting this town and part of Scotland. Our room was large with no issues. Restaurant and service similarly fine with no complaints . Price was very reasonable I felt compared to other options - I’d recommend and would give it 2.5 to 3 star rating »

« Nicole and Malcolm make Craigmount so special. Book themed bedrooms to reflect Wigtown, and a lovely sitting room to read or eatch TV. Our double bedded room with ensuite overlooked the garden. The room was quite compact, and made more so by our largish suitcases. If you have big bags, perhaps book a family room. All the rooms are accessible via stairs. The pre-ordered breakfast was freshly cooked and wonderful. Dinner options in town or nearby were limited, except to drive, especially mid-week....

« We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus. »
