Had no choice but to stop and take a picture of this beautiful part of France. And if you ever take a ride from Bordeaux to Bergerac, don't use highways. Even though they're quicker, you'd miss so much beauty...
The power was out on the rainy day we visited this fantastic chateau, which just added to the atmosphere. As we waited outside in the rain a lovely old man came to chat to us (in French). He turned out to be the owner, a descendant of the powerful counts who used its crucial position on the Lot River to protect their interests.
