« Unfortunately, our experience at the North Parkes Hotel was disappointing. Before booking, we called the hotel directly and were quoted $150. We then found the room cheaper through Expedia. When we questioned the price difference, we were told that they were “not a charity”, which we found to be quite an unnecessary and dismissive response. We booked specifically because we were travelling from Parkes through to Brisbane and expected to be able to have dinner at the hotel restaurant....

« The room had a very pungent smell of some type of vanilla oil. It was real headache material for me. After hours of aircon & opening door to the veranda, it dissipated somewhat. The tapas restaurant adjoining the hotel was very good. »

« We booked the room with Expedia, Upon arrival, the office person asked for payment for room, I told her that we paid for the room through Expedia. Then she changed to saying that she needs another $46 for pets but on the Hotel page it states clearly that pets stay free. Anyway after a long tiring drive, we gave her the money and went to our room. The room is very basic entry level room. There are signs everywhere such as turn off the lights, don't let the dogs on the bed, don't run water...

« Tom and Bree were very welcoming on arrival. We had a few minor problems that they attended to immediately. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom was large with a separate toilet. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. »
