Brian Head ski weekend

Great location!!!. Quick drive up to ski. The room was perfect for our family of 3. Hosts made us feel so welcome. Loved the large kitchen and living area. Cooking and playing games with our friends was something we wouldn’t have been able to do in hotel rooms. Will definitely stay here again

The staff is very friendly. The Aviator room is very nice with private bathroom. The rest of the house is shared with full use of the kitchen, living room, coffee bar. There is a nice deck outside. Grassy area and playground for little kids.

We loved our stay in the Aviator room. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Warming up our breakfast and making tea in the morning was a breeze. We highly recommend using this property for all travelers. Thank you scott for being a wonderful host.

The property was clean and cozy. The jetted tub was not for guest use, which I didn't know when I booked the room. There weren't extra towels or cups in bathroom. The house was noisy and we could hear other guests until late into the night. We could hear people playing the piano in the living room downstairs which we didn't love. The bed wasn't great. Overall it was average.

Felt like Part of the Family! Amazing Stay

We loved staying here. There were four of us that shared a large room. Two people slept on the queen memory foam mattress on the floor which was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the supplies that you would need to cook your meals. We put our cold items in the fridge and they had space if we wanted to put our dry items in the kitchen instead of our rooms. The house was new and very clean. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom in our room was very large for all of us to get ready for the day. We felt like part of the family here and really enjoyed our conversations with them. We had a lot of fun just staying in. The hosts were very friendly and we felt comfortable enough to use the common areas such as the living room. They even provided fresh coffee for the mornings which was a nice touch. We will stay here again! Loved our time here.

Property was fine. This is a Vrbo property and were very insistent on me installing the app, told them I got the room through Expedia and didn't want to do another process. Staff was extremely friendly, but out of 6 people all together, no one was wearing a mask and they were all together, guests included, I did not feel safe, as there is an invisible virus that can be anywhere, I recommend they wear masks for the guests protection.

Great property.

I cannot say enough great things about Scott, the owner. He was quick to respond to any questions and very straight forward about the property, amenities or any other questions I had. Room was perfect for what we needed. We were attending a wedding during the weekend of our stay so we were in & out a lot over our 3-day stay. The on-site staff were present but non-intrusive and always helpful. While the house is large, just remember that you will be renting a room. Some in our party were perplexed by the presence of staff, but once I told him the cost, he quickly acquiesced. If you are looking for a comfortable, affordable room to rent, look no further than Tacit Shadow. Thanks Scott.

Very Disappointing For A Place With A Lot Of Potential

My wife and I were excited about staying here after looking at the pictures even though we were a little hesitant about sharing the house with others. All of our other VRBO homes have been for our use exclusively. But we had it (supposedly) to ourselves the first of the 3 nights and we figured we could make the other 2 nights work. We were supposed to check in at 4 pm but we didn't get there until 4:30. That gave them plenty of time to have the place ready but the best way we could describe it would be utter chaos and clutter. Stuff was all over the front porch and we could hardly get in the front door. Once we got inside it was even worse. We found out that Jill's son, daughter-in-law, and their baby were living there and everything was a mess. There was baby stuff everywhere along with tons of laundry that needed to be folded or put away. We were expecting to have a 5,000 square foot house but most of it was in a condition where it wasn't usable. We brought all of our own food expecting to use the kitchen. We were almost sickened when we went into the kitchen to see trash, dirty dishes piled high in the sink and on the counters, and food and other stuff all over the floor. We wanted to put some food in the fridge but it was completely full with all kinds of leftovers that had been in there for who knows how long. Victoria (the daughter-in-law) and some helpers spent the next hour or so cleaning up the kitchen and making some room in the fridge. I don't know how they let it get that bad to begin with, but they certainly should have had it cleaned up before our check in time. The room and the attached bathroom were nice enough although we had to ask for more toilet paper and the DVD player didn't work. The WiFi was good, when it worked, but it disconnected more often than it would stay connected. Victoria said she had told her father-in-law about that but nothing had been done about it. We spent most of our time in our bedroom or out of the house visiting national parks, etc., because the house wasn't a place we really wanted to be. One night we asked about using the big screen theater room but Victoria didn't know how to run it. So her husband found us a replacement DVD player and we watched movies on the small TV in our room. Maybe the experience would have been different if Jill had been there. But for us it was terrible and we will never return again. The price was excellent, but I guess you get what you pay for.
