Amazing Beach Front - Oceanview townhome style condo at Tanglewood resort in Parksville, British Columbia, located immediately beside the beach access to Rathtrevor Beach. Just steps away from unfettered beach access, sun and sand. Great for easy access and so close there is no need to pack for a day at the beach when 30 steps has you back at home.

Our 1255 sq. ft. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus single mattress fold outs for extra sleepers, condo on the second floor (top floor) enjoys an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and two private decks (one on the roof) that provides gorgeous ocean and beach views and provides privacy and quiet. Comfortable patio furniture and a stainless BBQ are there for your enjoyment. A king size bed in the ‘master’ suite with en-suite bathroom plus a queen size bed in the adjacent bedroom provides lots of space and privacy. Great for couples and families.

The unit features a large kitchen with all the amenities of home, full size washer and dryer, and complete linen sets and beach towels available for your use. There is also a large secure storage area for bikes, beach toys, skim and paddle boards and whatever else you want out of sight.

This unit provides commanding ocean views and is adjacent to the Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Not only do you have the ocean views, but this unit is quiet and peaceful year round. Sit and watch the bald eagles soar or the deer pecking for food in the park. Steps away from one of the most scenic walking/running/biking trails on Vancouver Island that winds its way through Rathtrevor Park while contouring to the ocean.

Come, unwind and relax at one of the finest locations on Vancouver Island. Enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and the amenities of home. 5 min drive to grocery stores and further amenities in Parksville. Enjoy a meal at the Black Goose Inn just a 10 min walk away or take a trip into town to micro-brew Mount Arrowsmith for a beverage and some food. Want goats on the roof? Coombs Market is an easy 15 drive away. Hike in the woods with waterfalls more your speed? Got that too; visit Englishman River Falls for a gentle 45 min hike with spectacular views and scenery. Cathedral Grove Forest is a 30 min drive and showcases some of North America’s biggest and best old-growth forest. Enjoy a walk through these massive trees.

Wonderful beach experience

Staying at Andrew’s place was a great experience! The property is exactly as described/pictured. Everything was clean and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches (beach towels, beach chairs/umbrella).We loved having a bbq dinner, watching the tide coming in and out through the big living room window, hanging out on the beach and going for walks along the beach path in neighbouring Rathtrevor park.The layout worked very well for us—each of the two couples had their own bathroom and we could all sit comfortably in the living room.We would go back in a heartbeat!

Too much cleaning for a vacation. We had already paid a cleaning fee, but still has to clean house every day during our stay. On our last morning, We still have to do laundry of towels , sheets, sweep floors , kitchen dishes, put out garbage . Otherwise, it was a very good & convenient place to stay and enjoy the weekend.

Not worth the money

Carport parking spot requires an eight point turn to get into. Very tight area and all sloped. Steep hill that visitor parking is at too of.Had to wash towels empty garbage and recycle and take up to top of hill upon leaving. No gas in the BBQ. Staircase up to unit...not on ground level. Also rule was unable to leave property before 0700 so as not to disturb . Rule was to park up top of you had an early morning departure. Not for anyone who has any sore of mobility issue or is elderly!Furniture tired and worn. Poor quality mattresses on beds.View was lovely. Proximity to beach and Rathtrevor provincial park was awesome. Open living space area was nice and gasgaforeplacenwoorked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen was the best equipped we've ever encountered through VRBO. The views were amazing from both inside and on both decks. The proximity to beach, walking trails was perfect. We highly recommend this property.

Excellent with some questions

The location is amazing and the accommodation is expansive with an incredible view.The downside is that it is a little worn, the washrooms need updating (some tiles in tub should be replaced as well as fixtures in sink. The carpet need to be replaced as badly stained. Also the large blind in the large front window was stuck open so had to put a blanket up on it each night (I did contact the owner regarding this was told that should work but would have some look at it, I did say we could live with it but it would have been nice it is was repaired in the 7 days we were there.

Beautiful Property and Great Location

We loved our stay here! The unit was wonderful, spacious, and well stocked. Shout out to the cleaning team - it was immaculate!!! The location and view were ideal. The beach was perfect for little ones (calm). The highlight for us was walking so far out during low tide and finding tons of starfish! We also enjoyed the walking path by the shoreline as well. It was hot when we were there, and there's no air conditioning, but they had lots of fans which helped. We would highly recommend!

Outstanding Location

This property has outstanding views and is right on the ocean and next to the park. Long walks at low tide or through the park were fantastic. As for the actual unit, the kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. As others have noted, the couches should be replaced (very dirty) and the upholstery on the dining chairs was badly stained and deteriorating. The carpets are also in need of deep cleaning. There were a lot of signs that the townhouse has not been receiving regular maintenance. The owner did respond quickly when I reported the broken table umbrella and the broken chairs on the patio (they had been noted in a review from March but still there when I arrived in May). With some attention to maintenance and cleaning, this unit could be outstanding. I did enjoy my stay but, as is, I would not stay again. You can’t live in a view.
