« We stayed for one amazing night at Tree house El Rio. It is a real tree house built on two massive trees. You can hear the river which is right out the front balcony. and you are fully immersed in nature. While on our visit we saw scarlet macaw’s and toucans flying and perched in the canopies on the property. « The house is old and needs lots of up keep. Walls are cracked and flaking. No hot water to bathroom sinks and maintaining a constant water temperature in the shower is impossible. There is no hot tub, the reference is to a bathtub, a language problem. Also, lighting in the bathroom is very bad. Push on lights were placed over the stove to give better light there as the kitchen is also dark. Walking into town takes about 10 mins and is an easy and nice walk. People very friendly.
