This was hands down one of the cutest most eclectic places Iâve ever stayed. The historical home was decorated so nice and the attention to detail was impressive. It was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. We stayed in Bettyâs Attic. It was so cozy with unique sitting areas and numerous little cubbies and window seats. We even had a gorgeous clawfoot tub and a fabulous stand up shower. I just wish we could have stayed longer. The fresh bread and jam was a favorite too. A definite slice of heaven in a quaint little paradise town. It was perfect!â€ïž
We came up from Austin, TX to attend the Louisburg Mill Ciderfest (Iâm trying to visit all 50 states before I turn 50) & I really donât think I couldâve picked a better place in the entire state of KS than the beautiful Kaskaskia Place! The house had copies of the local newspaper that the owners & the house were featured just a couple of weeks ago on the Front Page! It was cool to read their story & you could feel the passion and love they poured into this house!
Iâm not sure if the house always has old love songs playing or if thereâs a motion sensor, but every time I stepped through the door, itâs like I was transported back to a classier time! Every piece of decor seemed perfectly curated & I just LOVED it! We spent one evening drinking ciders we brought back from the mill while playing pool, after walking back from the square and small farmers market with live music just a few blocks away.
The house is just a 12min drive from the Louisburg Cider Mill & Farm, which is where my boyfriend PROPOSED under the most beautiful sunset! We also picked apples at the Louisburg orchard, just 30min from the house, and drove up to Kansas City for BBQ just 45min away. So, the location was perfect!
We stayed in âBettyâs Atticâ that had so many different lovely nooks and seating areas, a couple of TVs, a small fridge (with butter for the fresh bread that they left in our room), and the BATHROOM with claw foot tub was amazing! We will absolutely be back for future anniversaries! <3
Such a cool property! Completely remodeled with lots of character. Feels like you are stepping back in time to the early 1900âs. We will definitely book this stay again. Attention to detail was amazing. And they made us fresh baked bread.
Our stay at Kaskaskia Place was very enjoyable. Scott made sure we had everything we needed. In addition he gave us the history of this unique Place and help us with places to eat and visit while in the Paola area.
Almost like staying in a museum, such a beautiful old Victorian with modern conveniences. The hosts are great guys and everything is always spotlessly clean. A real joy to be able to stay in such a cool place at hotel prices
This place is absolutely beautiful! The hosts have thought of every little detail that you may need from personal robes to homemade bread in your room with jams! Highly recommend this beautiful home!
This house is STUNNING! No two ways about it. We were in the attic rooms and the care and love the owners but into every thing in the house really shows. The downstairs has a pool room, a large dining room, trust me when I say that the pictures do not do this place justice. I'd have loved to spend more time than one night, Perfect for a small group.
