First, let me start by saying we had a great time and the location was fabulous. The ease of getting to the beach made for a perfect beach getaway. That being said, we were incredibly disappointed by the state of the house after how much we paid. In my opinion, there cost was not worth it and we wouldn’t stay here again. It’s clear the home was once well cared for but has fallen to disrepair in almost every aspect. The biggest concern was how dirty everything was. I literally kept a washcloth by my bed to wash my feet before getting into bed. There was filth on everything: walls, showers, furniture (couch is disturbingly in need of a cleaning. We had to put a towel over the cushions), kitchen cabinets, appliances. There were too many broken, overly used items to count but some that stood out: broken toilet flush handle, broken patio step, coffee maker has years of grime build up, vacuum is broken, dryer has to be run 3x to dry. Without a vacuum we were left with a filthy broom and broken broom pan. I would highly suggest closing the home to renters for a week and doing a top to bottom clean. Without this, I would certainly not recommend anyone stay here.
