quick trip

All in all mostly great. The doors to the second bath needs some attention. The remotes took some getting used to especially in the spare room. The sliding glass door to the balcony were very hard to open and close. Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean.

Great Stay

Aquavista is our go to condo choice when visiting PCB. This particular unit ranks high on our list of our stays. My fiancé and I joke that we have stayed in every unit at this location, which might not be far off. The rental company, RealJoy, provides great communication and cleanliness. Both rentals we have rented from that particular company have been top notch. We would rent this place again.

Best location!

We have been coming to PCB for 20 years. Aquavista is the best location we have stayed! Away from the craziness of Thomas Drive area. It is a low rise so short wait for elevators and parking a breeze! Winn Dixie, Sand Bar seafood restaurant and Muy Wayne Os Tex Mex restaurant within walking distance. Pier Park short drive. Condo was perfect for our family of four adults but can sleep six. Beautiful Gulf view and property manager friendly and helpful. Can rent beach chairs and umbrellas just outside the condos. We will definitely return again!

Great time at aquca vista

We always love it. We have been coming there for at least 20 yrs. That was the first visit to that room. It was great. I would suggest that they look over the kitchen utensils. There needed to have, culander, there was no can opener. More essentials for cooking. There was a problem with Internet and bath shower draining but the maintenance was quick to come and accommodate us. Loved coming there and hope to return next year again. Good visit.👍

Mixed Emotions , the stay could have been so much better. The maintenance was pathetic

I apologize for the review but this is what happened to us. This will be a bit long. We came from Franklin Wi, needless to say it was a long drive through tons of construction in every state strong storms(not the owners fault) to get to PCB. We called ahead to ask if we could enter a bit earlier. and we’re granted access about an hour or so early. Upon pushing open the propped open door, the cleaning crew was eating pizza, so I walked out. I verified with my wife that we were granted access, went back and tried to explain to the cleaning crew we had permission to drop our things off and were kicked out. The crew didn’t speak English or didn’t want too. The third attempt about 45 mins later we were able to get in to drop our things off. Later after the cleaning crew finally granted us access and the cleaning crew left, they at least cleaned up there pizza box and napkins, but it wasn’t cleaned well. We noticed dead bugs on the floor(moths and dragonflies), toilet paper stuck to the master bathroom floor, pubic hairs in the master bathroom tub, toilet seat about ready to fall off, dirty towels left behind, no fresh or clean towels and the stench of fried fish that lingered for days. Now this was all in the first 10 mins of inspection of the place. So WE cleaned up the place. The cleaning lady came back the next day to clean. She communicated through translating on her cell phone. I had to explain that we had already cleaned and that she was not needed. There is more!!! The patio/balcony was the reason we chose this place. It is bigger on the lower level. It was nice and definitely needed since we would be out there most of the time due to the fried fish stench. So heavy rains and thunderstorms rolled through. The balcony was flooding and water was actually coming into the patio door track. The drain for the patio had a carpet or rug over it, blocking it from working. I went out in the lightning, moved the patio furniture and pulled the rug off of the drain and water started to drain. Then we heard water landing somewhere in the living room and noticed water dripping from the ceiling. Maintenance came up and told us that I’d normal. NORMAL?? No it’s not. Maintenance told me later that they inspected the roof stacks and believed that the needed to be cleaned out due to being clogged or restricted leading to poor drainage. Now I never request a refund but I do believe a refund is warranted for this vacation.

DO NOT BOOK THIS THIS OR ANY OTHER UNIT AT AQUAVISTA CONDOS UNTIL RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETE!! I should ha e given more credence to the reviews on VRBO. This property in under COMPLETE renovation. We were very disappointed with the lack of information about this from RealJoy prior to booking. Pool closed. Elevators not working, and we were on the 4th floor. Dust everywhere and hard to find entrance to parking because of road construction. RealJoy did not have code for gate to beach access. They listed September's codes and when I asked about October's codes was told I didn't need one. Yes, yes I did!! Never got beach access code that worked. First picture on listing is the balcony. I don't know why, because we couldn't use it. Because of the renovations, balconies are closed. Very disappointed. Probably would not book another rental through RealJoy again.

Completely under construction

After speaking with Realjoy they assured us that everything was on the up and up. Upon arrival the condominium was completely under construction. Parking area was a nightmare and the elevators did not work and had exposed insulation. The room itself was ok but one of the showers was unusable as it sprayed water to the ceiling. This was by far the worst vacation. We will never book through realjoy again. EVER!!!

issues we faced .parking, noise mess and construction

no parking in the garage.at night many unauthorized non plackared vehicles parked everywhere. mainly seemed to be pick ups from the construction workers .. construction noise starting at 7am...website i was direct to did not give access to all the beach and pool codes.. phoned help line they knew nothing of the codes. . elevators were down several hours as well. all entry ways covered in pain splatter. ..Expecting paying guests to park in a unsupervised uninsured lot across the busy street is ludacrus..

Several Issues

Let me start by saying that I’ll never regret a vacation to the beach, however I was thoroughly disappointed with this unit. I have stayed at Aquavista previously and knew the area, layout, etc so I was comfortable booking there. My original booking with another condo was canceled suddenly in April and I scrambled to find something for the same dates. I found this unit on VRBO. It was about $1000 more for the week than my original booking, but I booked. I will list the issues we had. I did communicate my displeasure with the elevator issue and received a nice gift. I appreciate the gesture. However, that was only one day. Here’s a synopsis of the other issues: * the construction out front wasn’t disclosed during booking * the renovation of Aquavista wasn’t disclosed at booking * the loud sandblasting outside your door at 8am * the balcony was dirty and had broken, dirty furniture * obstructed balcony view * balcony door lock broken * holes in wall above tv * exposed outlet in hall * dishes/pans dirty out of the cupboard * inside dishwasher dirty * urine odor in kitchen (due to a disgusting, dirty mop in broom closet * dust pan broken and difficult to use properly * various times during week elevator was closed and stairs had to be used * when the elevator did function, it was very shaky and loud * when stairs were necessary the handrails were useless because they were covered in wet paint - the stairs stayed wet from rain too (2 members of my party have hip dysfunction) * several items of clothing were ruined by wet paint -no signs were posted about “wet paint” * having access to only one parking space when we had two vehicles * having to park across the street with no way to safely cross the street to get to it I have sent this same info to the rental owners and have received no communication regarding rectifying the issues.

Weekend Get Away

Over all, the place was what I expected for the money. It definitely needs some updating. Need to update the plastic balcony furniture. Making some minor updates could make all the difference in the world and make this place much nicer. One working elevator for most of our stay and it was the bad shaky elevator. The dryer would never get the clothes completely dry even after three cycles. Definitely need something to block out the light coming in the bedroom from the walk way outside. Beautiful view, great access to the beach other that having to have a code to get in and out to the beach. I will pay a little more in the future to have a little nicer place.

Disappointed in this condo!

This condo is very outdated, needs upgrades and desperately needs a deep cleaning! The worst part was we never got a code to get to the beach. I called multiple times and no help. The HOH obviously didn’t enter this month’s code. We finally had another condo owner give us their code. This complaint was made by at least a dozen other guests too. Very frustrating! Then there is no handle on the sliding glass door to get onto balcony and is VERY hard to open it due to that. There is no deadbolt on the front door so you never really know if it is locked or not. The bedrooms need better window shades to block out the very bright outside hallway light that shines right in on the beds. The living room has a sinking area right in the middle of the floor - scary! The master bedroom bed is way too soft - you sink way down in when you lay down. The balcony furniture need replaced. Lounge chairs are all rusted and plastic table and chairs are cheap and flimsy. Overall, the condo is disgustingly dirty. There were dried dripping stuff down the sides of the cabinets and when we took showers within minutes the bottom of our feet were black! The bedroom carpet needs replaced. They were stained and VERY dirty. Not at all worth the money we invested in this vacation condo unfortunately.

I loved the closeness to the beach. I knew the condo had some age on it before I rented so I expected some issues, like old elevators, (only one worked) balcony doors hard to open, etc... but overall it was a very roomy condo for the five of us. It had a musty smell to it when we first arrived which I didn't know if it was because it had been closed up and not rented lately or the cleaning crew. The dishwasher did not work well... had to wash some of the dishes after they ran through the cycle. The main complaint I have is no grills on the premises. It would have been nice to have some. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
