    Dunes of Panama is located on the sugar-white sands of Panama City Beach in the peaceful eastern end of exclusive Thomas Drive. Unfortunately, our experience with this condo was very disappointing. When my family and I arrived, there was immediately a foul odor inside. The floors had not been properly cleaned, and there were dirty dishes left sitting in the sink.After traveling with my family, the last thing I expected to do was leave the condo and go to Walmart to purchase cleaning supplies. I came back and cleaned as much as I could just so we could feel comfortable staying there.When I went to make dinner for my children, I realized that every dish and pan we tried to use was dirty. I called to report the condition of the condo and was told someone would be sent to take care of it. A woman arrived with her minor son, cleaned the floors, and when I mentioned the dirty dishes, she told me she “wasn’t paid enough to wash the dishes” and then left.For the amount of money families spend on vacation accommodations, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a condo to be clean and ready for guests upon arrival. I should not have had to purchase my own cleaning supplies, clean the condo myself, or wash dirty dishes and cookware before I could even prepare dinner for my children.The condo itself may have potential, but the cleanliness and the way the situation was handled were extremely disappointing and definitely put a damper on the beginning of our family vacation.

Pros: Great view! Beach service (2 chairs) included. Great parking situation. Elevators fast for a 21 floor building.LR was great--comfy couch and love seat plus a small recliner. TV worked well (we used our YouTube TV login while we were there). Dining area good with a long table and plenty of seating.AC worked great. Plenty of hot water for the showers and good water pressure.Cons: The condo, while adequate, put off a vibe of refreshing a property and then stopping 85% of the way through. The MBR had almost no clothing storage (only 2 drawers in a TV cabinet) and no place to unpack a suitcase. There is plenty of room to put in a chest or something similar, which is needed for longer stays as otherwise you're forced to live out of a suitcase on the floor. Guest BR was similar.Beds were about a C. Not the worst I've ever slept on, but far from the best. Thin mattresses.Fridge in the kitchen is too big for the space so it sticks out and makes the small kitchen feel even smaller. There's an oven in the kitchen but we couldn't find any pans for it. Plenty of small appliances but not a ton of silverware. There is a W/D unit in the closet off of the kitchen, but the washer seems to take a long time to complete a cycle.Lighting throughout is weird--harsh white bulbs mixed with soft yellow. Is strange.Not one rug in the entire unit. No place to wipe off feet other than 1 small welcome mat outside the front door. Hard to keep sand off the tile floors!
