Enjoy the best that Palm Springs has to offer at our light & airy mid-century bungalow. Located in the historical Ocotillo Lodge, our colorful, stunning unit is distinguished by its large private patio and open layout. Meticulous details & whimsical elements have been added to complement the surrounding desert landscape. Enjoy modern amenities and the comforts of home, all while taking in the many stylized nods to Palm Springs' colorful history. Our mid-century jewel box is yours to enjoy!

This unit retains many of its original interior features as designed by architects Palmer and Krisel, including original kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Our one-bedroom, signature bungalow has endless natural light coming through floor-to-ceiling windows/sliding glass doors in all primary spaces and an original skylight in the bathroom. Spacious and benefitting from an open layout, ours is perfectly located in the interior of the complex away from the street and just a few steps from the swimming pool. The location is quiet and private while also being close to the amenities of the complex. You get a chance to truly enjoy the best of indoor/outdoor living, as the large private patio beckons you to cook and enjoy meals al-fresco, prepared on your own grill.

The stylish bungalow decor takes inspiration from our travels in Mexico and mixes period-appropriate furniture and art with the colors & textures of the desert landscape. Both living room and bedroom have direct access to the patio. Meticulous details & accents bring the outdoor elements indoors, evoking a seamless experience of the soothing, natural surroundings for which Palm Springs is known.

Our bedroom features a plush king-sized bed and calming tones that will give you that perfect night's sleep. The bedroom offers easy access to the oversized bathroom, featuring double-sinks, and a gleaming subway tile clad, glass-enclosed shower. The kitchen is fully stocked, and opens out to a bar area with two stools. 

Originally built in 1956 by famed architects William Krisel & the Alexanders, the Ocotillo Lodge started out as a hotel, and is one of Palm Springs' most stunning mid-century gems. As a guest, you will have full access to the facilities, including the famous champagne-cork shaped pool, two hot tubs, fitness room, and lush desert landscaping. You'll truly feel like one of the many celebrities who have frequented this famous hangout spot over the years.

Ours is truly a special unit, located in one of the best examples of mid-century architecture that Palm Springs has to offer. We can’t wait to share our little slice of Palm Springs Modernism heaven with you!

You’re renting the entire bungalow and patio area. Make yourself at home, as everything is yours to enjoy exclusively!

Our property is professionally managed by a full service vacation rental agency, so your trip will be worry-free from beginning to end. We will take care of everything from hosted check-in to departure, and will be available for anything you need along the way. We are also available to handle any special or a-la-carte requests, including pre-arrival grocery shopping and arrangement of transportation and/or tours.

Neighbors have been notified that this property is a vacation rental and are encouraged to call a hotline to dispatch authorities to investigate any disturbances. If the city issues a violation, guest will be responsible for payment of any fine(s) and may be evicted with no refund.

- Minimum age for primary renting guest is 25.
- Daytime occupancy is 6 people.
-Overnight occupancy is 2 people.
- Maximum of 1 vehicles allowed. Please utilize driveway parking before using street parking.
- The City imposes a strict noise ordinance for vacation rentals. No music is allowed outside at any time, including music coming from inside that can be heard at the property line, and no noise at all is allowed outside after 10pm.
- The City requires a signed written contract for all guests, as well as a copy of the primary renter's government ID. This will be taken care of during check-in.
- The City requires each guest to pay an 11.5% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 1% Tourism Business Improvement District assessment for stays less than 28 days. If your stay is 28 days or more, taxes do not need to be paid.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
- Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out is promptly by 11AM.
- Our onsite greeter will meet you at the home and give you a tour.
- Late check-outs without prior approval with incur a $250 fee, as we need time to get the house ready for the next guest.

PETS
- NO PETS are allowed. Any sign of pets on the property will incur an additional $500 fee and will be cause for eviction.

NO SMOKING
- The entire complex is a smoke-free property. Any signs of smoking in the unit or on the patio will incur an additional $250 fee.

CLEANING
The final cleaning after your checkout is included in your reservation quote. For stays longer than 6 weeks, guest will be responsible for the cost of a mid-stay clean every 30 days. Fund will be collected from guest as mid-stay cleanings occur.

Fantastic Stay!

I had a fantastic stay at this property. It was clean, check in was simple with good communication from the owner, and all details were thought out: from a water filter in the fridge to a speaker to play music. I would highly recommend this property!

Palm Springs Paradise

We simply loved staying at Ocotillo Lodge for a month. The unit was stylish, the kitchen well-equipped, the pool is amazing -- large, comfortably-heated. The hosts were both professional and charming. The location is great. Walking distance to some terrific restaurants, stores, etc. The dreamiest part was swimming in the huge, quiet pool early in the morning as Sinatra and all the greats poured out of the sound system. Add a clear blue sky, soaring mountains, and silky dry air and, in my opinion, you've found heaven. Highly recommended.

Fantastic accommodation!

We have stayed a different units at the Ocotillo Lodge, and this unit definitely didn't disappoint! The suite was very clean, beautifully decorated with the mid-mod charm and the private patio was really wonderful to have morning coffee on! Being close to the pool was really great and the property itself was very quiet and relaxing! The host was easy to communicate with, had a great online info booklet & made the check in process very easy! We would definitely recommend booking and will definitely be back again!
