Welcome to The House of the Golden Turtle! Situated on a quarter-acre lot, this serene estate provides an experience that’s equal parts luxury and playfulness. Build in 1977, the house was completely updated and furnished. As a newly renovated desert retreat, the house is a blend of modern architecture and contemporary design inspired by the vibrant colors and patterns found throughout the charming city of Palm Springs.

Natural light fills this home making it a bright, happy space. Hand-picked art including a quirky sculpture, a map of famous landmarks, and photos of local legends captured by world-renowned photographer Slim Aarons bring the art scene of the area to you. Take in the views of the Santa Rose mountains from the front yard and living room. With high vaulted ceilings, the main living area provides an open floorplan perfect for entertaining and creates a fabulous backdrop for a dinner party.

Outdoor Oasis:
Meet our mascot, Harold, the golden turtle who welcomes you to the sumptuous backyard. The property features lush landscaping and stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

With a large private pool and spa, dining set, two striking black-and-white cabanas, and a fire pit area you’ll bask in the warm sunny skies, beautiful sunsets, and outdoor living Palm Springs has to offer. The backyard was designed with entertaining in mind and lots of seating so invite your family and friends to join you. Make use of the BBQ, fun pool floaties, and lawn games! Or keep this retreat a secret and enjoy the romantic views and starry skies… we won’t tell.

Amenities:
Bring your streaming passwords and settle in for a cozy movie night! The living room is equipped with a 70” smart TV. If a fun-filled game night is more your speed, there are Frank Lloyd Wright puzzles and games ranging from Apples to Apples and Bananagrams to Cards Against Humanity and Wits & Wagers.

The kitchen has everything you need if you decide to cook on vacation — pots and pans, mixing bowls, cutting boards, small appliances, etc. There are two sets of plates and drinking glasses, indoor and outdoor, to meet your dining needs. A Keurig is waiting and ready to get you caffeinated to take on the day. The laundry area is off the kitchen and has a full-size front-loading washer and dryer for your use.

The primary suite has a king-sized bed, large closet, 55” smart TV, and en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub. There is a sliding door with private access to the backyard, convenient for when you want to enjoy the grounds without disturbing anyone else.

The second bedroom has a king-sized bed, a built-in area (closet, vanity, desk), a 40” smart TV, and views of the private front yard. The third bedroom has two full beds, a roomy closet, and views of the private front yard. The main bathroom with a walk-in shower is just off the living area and can easily be accessed from the backyard as well.

Jacuzzi heat is complimentary. If you would like to heat the pool, the charge is $45 per day based on the entire stay.

We also have 2 adult beach cruisers with helmets available for guests who want to ride around town.

Family-Friendly:
For our guests traveling with young kiddos, we’ve thought of you too! In addition to a stash of toys, there are kid-friendly utensils, plates, and cups as well as a Boon grass countertop drying rack. We also have a high chair, travel bassinet, and toddler mattress on-site.

Additionally, there is a 3Dgo Convenience Stroller by Summer you can use. This stroller is designed for use with children ages 6+ months (or when babies can sit up on their own) up to 45 pounds.

Dog-Friendly:
Bring your four-legged family member! We have a dog crate and food/water bowls for your use on-site. We allow up to 2 dogs with a refundable $125 pet fee for each. 25 lbs. max - Sorry, NO CATS.
