THE SPACE

This is a single-level ranch-style home on a canal lot in the Tidelands on the Intracoastal community, with the waterway as the real centerpiece of the property. A screened lanai runs the full length of the back of the house, furnished with wicker seating and ceiling fans, opening onto a paved pool deck with outdoor dining and a private plunge pool finished with a small tiled waterfall feature. Past the pool, a fixed wooden dock with a gazebo canopy, bench seating, and a ladder into the water lets you fish, launch a kayak or paddleboard, or just sit and watch the boats go by on a canal wide enough that a neighbor across the way docks a genuine yacht.

Inside, there are two separate living rooms — one anchored by a fireplace — both furnished with new sofas and both facing the water. The dining room and a breakfast nook share the same panoramic canal view, and the kitchen has new stainless appliances and white cabinetry. The whole layout is built around bringing the water view into nearly every room rather than tucking it behind a single window.

THE LANAI, POOL AND DOCK

THE CANAL

This is a wide, navigable canal connected to the Intracoastal Waterway — guests have fished right off the dock, spotted dolphins and manatees passing by, and even chartered a boat for a day trip up and down the waterway. The beach is a short walk or a two-minute drive away.
