« As we were driving a series of long winding roads to this property we said to ourselves, “this place is going to have to be really nice to be worth the drive.” And it was. The nature sounds were amazing. Eating every meal on the lanai was lovely. The kids fought over who got to sleep on the lanai. It’s close to a beautiful black sands clothing-optional beach, and otherwise there’s not much to do out there. It’s not the best jumping off point for lots of island touring, but it’s the perfect spot...

« Les instructions pour accéder à la propriété étaient claires mais nous ne pouvions pas croire que nous étions au bon endroit étant donné l’état des propriétés autour. L’intérieur de la maison est bien tel que décrit sur le site. On sent que le propriétaire a beaucoup travaillé pour donner un cachet unique à sa propriété et c’est très réussi de ce côté-là. Dommage que la crainte d’avoir des problèmes avec le voisin, la crainte de manquer d’électricité et le vacarme que fait la pompe chaque fois...

« Each bedroom and bathroom being situated across the living room (one on far left, one on far right) from each other was really nice after traveling with our 2 daughters for a week. It gave us some privacy from each other and a treat to each have our own bathroom. We loved the lanai and 2 separate sets of furniture on it to enjoy the view. We ordered breakfast from the host to be delivered which was a special treat and tasted amazing. »

« A very relaxing atmosphere. Quint and comfy. Beautiful setting and great host/owners Brian and Denise who lives next door and is very helpful. We (myself, sister, and two friends) truly enjoyed our stay. This gem is fully furnished with kitchen gadgets, bath, laundry, and bedrooms, including a fully enclosed lanai with hammocks, lounge chairs, etc. »

« The house is beautiful, and the location felt perfect for us. We enjoyed relaxing on the second floor balcony (even doing a little astrophotography!), going to the nearby beaches, and taking day trips out to Hilo and the Volcanoes National Park! I couldn't have asked for a better home base. They also had a good stock of cookware, so we were able to cook most of our meals which saved us both money and travel time for food. This place was really a treat! »
