« We booked this stay for the last night of our anniversary trip! The accommodation is located within the old town, thus no cars are allowed to enter. However the hotel staff had already contacted me far in advance to arrange luggage pick up so arriving to the hotel was very easy! « The Palace Hotel, or Wang Lu Hotel in Chinese, was a welcome sight - traditional Chinese in style. Situated in the Old Town of Lijiang, it’s surrounded by quaint shops and a variety of dining establishments for ease and convenience. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. « This hotel in my mind is average. Cleaness is average but definetly not as in the photos (the photos were possibly took when the rooms are new renovation). Fresh air? Don't expect fresh air, as many hotel guests or people nearby are smoking. Since this hotel is not entirely smoke-free, you'll have to settle for air tinged with the smell of cigarettes.
