This welcoming retreat on the North Cornwall coast makes the perfect base for large families and groups of friends. The area is a haven for walkers, with the South West Coast Path passing nearby. You’ll also be 1 mile from a sheltered, family-friendly beach and the lively resort of Newquay is just over 10 miles away. After a day of adventure, enjoy an al fresco evening in your gorgeous garden.
This fabulous holiday home is bright and airy, with a colour scheme to reflect the local landscape. The large kitchen/diner is a wonderful place for entertaining, with ample worktop space and a table to seat everyone. On a summer’s day, open the patio doors to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. After dinner, retire to the elegant lounge, where you can fire up the wood burner and watch the Smart TV. Alternatively, grab your favourite book and head to the peaceful conservatory. The ground floor also houses a twin bedroom, shower room, and utility room. The remaining bedrooms – one of which has an en-suite shower room – are upstairs, along with the family bathroom. Outside, there is a generous lawn to the front. To the rear, dine alfresco on the sunny patio, while the children play on the enclosed lawn. You’ll also find a handy outdoor shower for freshening up after a day at the beach.
Just 1 mile from the cottage is the beautiful Treyarnon Bay, where you can spend the day playing on the sand and sharing picnics. This family-friendly beach has shallow waters and also boasts its own natural swimming pool amongst the rocks. The picturesque village of St Merryn (1.5 miles) offers a collection of cute cafes and pubs, and you’ll also be just 4 miles from the foodie haven of Padstow.

Great location, no frills accommodation
We know area well and didn't disappoint. Property does what it says on the tin without perhaps some of the polish that comes with additional cost. Garden was really practical and great space, kitchen well appointed, bedrooms and bathrooms clean. Utility room really sacious and very useful. So mostly positive. The 'work-ons' included a very dirty sitting room floor under the sofa (only seen as I was retrieving something from floor - years of dust balls and a dirty tissue), a promised BBQ that we had to keep ringing the caretaker for a response on and eventually tracked to private garage but not before we missed the best evening to eat out, and an en suite shower that was just a dribble (downstairs is great, though).
