« Great historical hotel. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that Bonnie and Clyde had stayed their. We had a suite and love the vintage feel. The bar downstairs was lively but could not hear the noise from our room. We enjoyed the separate sitting area with a modest kitchen in the middle. Will stay there again given the chance. Good eating just across the street. »

« My stay was spectacular. 1000/10. The pictures doesn't capture the beauty of this stay. We stayed for two days and honestly my stay at the boxcar was the best part of the trip. If you are second guessing go for it! Friendly dogs and beautiful horses as well. Becky also gave suggestions on things to do, she keeps the place clean comfy. she’s really a super host! Again 1000/10 definitely recommend! »

« The place was wonderful. You felt secluded yet you were actually in the middle of everything. Close to good restaurants, especially Elio‘s Italian restaurant. Or if you want to go further and do the caverns and Guadalupe State Park or just hang close and do the Comal nature tour and the Gorge. Dogs loved it and the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace were definite plus when it was cold. Deer everywhere »
