« Amazing antiques & flowers all around mansion & carriage house. They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. « Our stay here at Villa DeWolff was absolutely amazing. From being greeted at the door by our host and the butler , to the beautiful room and suite to the historic b&b to the wonderful breakfast . Everything was 5 star service ! The owner , Jethro is the perfect host and historian of the mansion and magnificent history of it hometown of Jacksonville, IL. We are already planning for our next trip home to see my family there , and we will be staying here. »

« If you love anything Victorian this is the place for you! The woodwork was exquisite! We had a lovely stay. Barbara was a wonderful hostess and made us a delicious breakfast! Fresh fruit with whipped cream. Lemon poppy seed muffins, raspberry kuken, ham and cheese omelets, OJ, coffee and tea! We enjoyed chatting with her and finding out about the history of the house! »

« We enjoyed our stay, but I do wish the place was a little cleaner. The shared bathroom (upon our arrival) had small hairs all over the sink and vanity like someone had emptied their electric shaver over it. Also, the doors to the rooms, including the shared bathroom, have no locks on them. The breakfast was very filling, and Mary (the hostess) was nice to talk to. »

« Very clean quaint property. Our room was situated overlooking a busy 4-way stop which made it a bit loud for sleeping when the trucks with loud mufflers rolled through but rested well just the same. Recommend this property for those looking for a quaint historic stay within walking distance to the Mighty Mississippi! »

« la chambre que nous avions réservée s'est révélée très bruyante à cause d'une ventilation extérieure.La responsable de l'hotel nous a,très aimablement changé de chambre.Décoration très originale.Notre chambre donnait finalement sur la voie ferrée qui ne s'est pas révélée très bruyante. »

« This house is beautiful and cozy just as described. It was very clean. The host, Chris, was very friendly and accommodating. He told us the history of the house and gave us a recommendation for a dining experience at LaBinnah Bistro, which was delicious!
