« Glorious place for a group to enjoy the old style well loved and cared for farmhouse. Very clean and superbly labelled for efficiency. Homemade bread was amazing. Peter was very accommodating. For us it was somewhat remote. »

« We had a wonderful stay. The location is fantastic, far enough from the city, making it quiet and peaceful at night. But close enough for just a short drive to the supermarkets. We even saw yellow eyed penguins on a beach less than 15min away from here. Beautiful view on the ocean from inside too! The property was very tidy and absolutely spotless, with modern interior and nice decorations. The next time we go to Dunedin, we are hoping that we can stay here again :) »

« Great location and appartment. easy parking, host instructions clear. Kitchen and bathroom great. We had a very enjoyable time. Couch in lounge toon far too small needs an upgrade. Chairs bit flimsy. Mat on lounge floor pilled a lot did not match quality of rest of unit. Nowhere to put suitcases and it would be great to have a wet area etc for skis - considering it is close to Cardrona. »

« I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! »
