Schmidt's Creek with Troy and Becky was a pleasant stay. I also am very pleased with how close the hotel was to the highway and many other restaurants/amenities within Osage Beach
I did not like the fact that my husband went to plug the alarm clock in and it sparked and blew the cord out from the plug part. There was no lights some how the tv worked and the air conditioner was on. Then he proceeded to call the manager and she asked what we wanted to do like we had a solution. My husband said well I guess just stay in the room because what can we say. Then she said okay we will take care of this tomorrow morning. I go up to the front office and Jessica comes down and I explained what happened she said well we wonât be charging you for damageâs obviously. I proceeded to ask for a refund then she said that she told my husband that we could switch rooms and because we did not do that we in a sense refused. I told her I was sorry and got back in my car to leave and tell my husband and he informed me that she never said that. All she said was what do we want to do and that we would fix this in the morning. Iâm sorry but this has been a terrible experience and I hope no one ever has to go through this.
The entire staff was super friendly and very professional. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I brought my own special pillow, but left it in the car because their pillows were very nice!
The entire staff here is super accommodating, and friendly, including the housekeeping staff! The room was wonderful, bed comfortable, and shower very impressive with handicapped bars to make it very safe. It was pretty high to get in and out of, but after one time I got used to it
The bathroom looked new. I was in a handicapped room and getting out of the tub was much easier with the handle bar right in front of me, so I could pull myself up instead of the normal side bars that are hard to pull up at a side angle
I had the handicapped room, and the bathtup had more than enough sturdy bars to pull up from the tup. There is also a nice wooden seat in the tub that I didn't use.
The only thing is I quickly learned not to go out the back way down the steep hill cause the front bottom of my suv hit the pavement, below the bumper
Parking lot sucks, not much they can do about the hills. Check in was good. Polite staff. Only complaints are too much chlorine in the pool and it was cloudy, couldnt see my feet. My fridge was broken and the freezer leaked all over and i had to clean that up & the beds were too hard for me personally. But it was clean quiet (besides my loud kids) and the vibes were nice! Will definitely stay here again!
The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked well but the room was not well ventilated. Overnight we noticed condensation forming on the end tables. We also noticed mold on the wall behind the tv. I reported this to the desk clerk at check-out and she made some notes and said they would take care of that.
It was a clean Motel with modern but simple rooms. The breakfast was just cold cereal or yogurt and there was no hair dryer in the room. The staff was considerate, especially since we only needed 1 of the 2 rooms we reserved. My wife has bad knees though and had to walk up stairs to the room...I asked if it was 1st floor and I heard it was, but wasnt after all.
