Sunrise Cottage Beachfront Home

Wake up and watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from this direct beachfront getaway. Located in the peaceful Ormond-By-The-Sea community with a no-drive beach, making it an ideal setting for family and kids. This home is beautifully updated, stylishly decorated and offers an oceanfront patio that's within steps to the beach. Inside offers 2 bedrooms with king bed, two twin beds & a sleeper-sofa in the living space. Conveniently located within 20 minutes of Daytona Beach & Flagler Beach.

Located on the beachside of Ormond Beach, locally known as Ormond-By-The-Sea. There is a shopping plaza just 3 minutes south of the property that provides Publix Super Market w/ Liquor Store, Tanning Salon, Barber Shop, Dollar Store, Dining & more!

Within walking & biking distance of local amenities. You will want motor-transportation to get to nearby destinations. Bicycles & Surfboard rentals are nearby.
Absolutely no smoking in unit or near open doors or windows. Unit is equipped with smoke/marijuana detection system and guests will be removed from property and no refund given if there is any smoke in unit.

Damage Waiver Disclaimer:

I. AGREEMENT
On behalf of Salty Dog Vacations, LLC, the party authorized to rent the vacation rental property and the owner of the vacation rental property, Waivo has assumed the responsibility for damages as outlined below and waives Your security deposit up to $2,500, the waiver limit purchased by You, the renter, for your stay at the vacation rental property.
Waivo is hereby responsible for theft or direct damage to real or personal property of the vacation rental property as a result of Your acts or omissions. Waivo will pay the lesser of the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to $2,500. This waiver does not negate your responsibilities as a renter for items outside of Waivo’s responsibilities.
This is not an agreement to provide insurance. You are buying a waiver of the security deposit otherwise due as part of Your vacation rental property lease agreement.
II. EXCLUSIONS
This Security Deposit Waiver will not pay for damages or theft resulting from:
1. Acts of God
2. Prior damage, cosmetic damage, or normal wear and tear
3. Theft without a valid police report if over $250
4. Loss of use of the vacation rental property
5. Rodent, termite, infestation, or wild animal
6. Damage to a motorized vehicle
7. Fine art, collectibles, or sets of items
This Waiver will not pay for damage or theft of property owned by You.
This Waiver will not pay for costs associated with odor, debris removal, backups of sewers and drains, landscaping, marring, maintenance, or mechanical breakdown.
III. CONDITIONS
Waivo has the sole authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs, and eligibility for the waiver, and shall exercise that authority in a reasonable manner.
Waivo reserves the right to determine if damage is eligible for reimbursement at actual cash value.
This Waiver will pay for excessive cleaning, as a direct result of damage, over and above the normal cleaning fee. An irreparable stain or spillage is considered damage.
This Waiver is only effective for a one-time single continuous stay, of up to 90 days, for which You purchased the Waiver. It takes effect when You occupy the vacation rental property and terminates when You depart the same vacation rental property.
This Waiver is only effective if any theft or damage is reported to Waivo by You, the property manager, the online travel agent or the owner of the vacation rental property within 14 days of Your departure from the vacation rental property.
Waivo will not respond to damage or theft under $50 US dollars.
If there is a dispute related to these terms, mediation is required before any party may file litigation. In the event of litigation, all parties waive the right to a jury trial.
IV. DEFINITIONS
You, or Your, is the renter of the vacation rental property and includes the renter’s spouse, children and any other person the renter invited on to the vacation rental property during your stay at the vacation rental property.

Vacation Rental Terms and Conditions:

SECURITY DEPOSIT. In lieu of a security deposit, at the time of the booking, guest shall be required to purchase rental coverage for the duration of their stay. The guest is held financially responsible for damages to the Rental Property, whether made by themselves, their family, and another guest in their group or invitee.
POSSESSION. Guest shall be entitled to possession on the first day of the term of the booking at 3pm (condos) 4pm (houses) and shall yield possession to Manager on the last day of the term of this Booking at 10am, unless otherwise agreed by both parties in writing and early check-in or late check-out fee paid. At the expiration of the booking, guest shall remove its goods and effects and peaceably yield up the Premises to manager in as good a condition as when delivered to guest.
MINIMUM STAY. The guest will be required to pay for the booked dates. Guests wishing to extend their stay may do so by contacting the Manager and paying additional fees if the unit is available for extension and the guest has abided by all rules.
USE OF PREMISES/ABSENCES. Guest shall occupy and use the Premises as a dwelling unit. Guest shall notify Manager of any anticipated extended absence from the Premises not later than the first day of the extended absence. Guest will maintain the premises in good order and appearance including keeping the premises free of trash and garbage. Reasonable wear and tear are the only exceptions to damage to the premises. Booking guest agrees to be the primary occupant of the dwelling during the entire period of the rental. Guest may not use the premise for commercial or event purposes. No commercial photography or filming is allowed on the property. Guests booking units that may allow small weddings or similar must notify Manager upon booking, pay additional fees and disclose all requested information to Manager. In the event a guest hosts an agreed-up event but does not give accurate information as to the time of the event, number of guests or type of event, booking will be cancelled, and guests immediately evicted. Any agreed upon event must be paid no less than 7 days prior to event. Manager has the right to deny any event request for any reason.
Guests may not hang towels over outdoor railings, erect tents or banners or do anything else to make property look less appealing to neighbors. Guest agrees to lock all doors and windows when they are not at the property.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Guest agrees to adhere to all guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on COVID-19 and any local and state regulations. Local and state regulations can be found on the local public health department website.
OCCUPANTS. No more than the number of person(s) entered in the booking may occupy the Premises at any one time unless the prior written consent of the Manager is obtained. All guests over the age of 2 are counted towards the maximum. Any party falsely representing the number of people or exceeding the maximum may be subject to immediate eviction without refund. All guests over the age of 15 will be required to provide a copy of a government issued ID.
For properties that allow pets, pets are only allowed if approved by Manager. All pets must be disclosed to Manager within 24 hours of booking, or if booking is less than 24 hours from booking time then at the time of booking. Guest must pay any required pet fees no less than 7 days prior to reservation start. For bookings made within a week of reservation, fee must be paid same day as the reservation is made.
Guests must be 25 to book (or the specified minimum age to book as noted on the booking site). Guests under the minimum age must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. Guests over 25 may not book a property for the use of a group under the age of 25 (ex: a mom or aunt cannot book a unit for a group of high schoolers where the parent or legal guardian will not be present).
FURNISHINGS. The unit is completely furnished and stocked. Guest shall return all such items at the end of the stay in a condition as good as existed at the beginning of the booking, normal wear and tear excepted.
PROPERTY INSURANCE. Manager and Guest shall each be responsible to maintain appropriate insurance for their respective interests in the Premises and property located on the Premises. Guest shall also maintain any other insurance which Manager may reasonably require for the protection of Manager's interest in the Premises. Guest is responsible for maintaining casualty insurance on its own property. It is recommended that travel or vacation insurance is obtained by the Guest. Manager requires unit insurance coverage purchase at booking.
NON-DISTURBANCE CLAUSE. Guest and their guests shall not disturb, annoy, endanger (fireworks) or inconvenience neighbors nor use the premises for any unlawful purposes. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests shall adhere to noise policy and shall interact kindly with neighbors. Guests understand that many units are in residential areas and will act with the utmost respect while at the premise or in the neighborhood/condo. Guest will not be heard using foul language, being rude, arguing or displaying obvious intoxication.
Guest will treat property with the same care as if the property was their home and will not hinder normal traffic patterns in the area. Guests will not do anything neither at the unit nor in the neighborhood/building that would cause complaints from neighbors, HOA or Condo Managers or police/code enforcement. Guest will abide by any parking restrictions.
CANCELLATIONS. (a) If the Property becomes unavailable to the Guest prior to occupancy, for any reason, Manager agrees to refund the full amount paid to the date of cancellation, and Guest agrees to rebooking any claims against Manager.

We enjoyed sitting in the cottage, watching the dolphins play in the waves near the shore. Ormond beach is lovely and the cottage is exactly as pictured on the site.

This was our first time using VRBO and we couldn't be happier. The location is amazing and the home is well appointed with everything needed to enjoy the beach. Chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, toys, and more were in the two large outdoor storage bins. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was great too. Our family of 4 fit comfortably inside. The kitchen had all of the appliances and dishes you would need. The refrigerator produces a TON of ice which was great. There a smart TVs in each room but we barely watched TV due to the ease of enjoying the beach. The home has three AC units. It was hard to keep a consistent temp throughout the home but to be expected when converting a garage and sun room into living spaces. Not a big deal IMO. Full size washer and dryer are very nice to have. The only issue we had was with the dish washer. It did not work at all and would run for hours despite not being on. Weird but I did let the property manager know and it will likely be fixed but that did make it so that dishes needed to be done by hand. Overall I would stay here again. The location is the best part. Being at the end of the road right on the beach is wonderful. You can sit out in the morning with coffee in one of the many chairs. the 45 second walk from the beach to the front door is so nice. No need to bring food or drinks to the beach when you can walk home and get them. The management team at Salty Dog did a great job and I have no complaints. 10/10!

This house was the best house I've stayed at in 17 years!! We have stayed at many different locations throughout Florida's beaches but this was our first trip to Ormond Beach and was by far the most convenient and most well kept house! I cannot say enough good things about this property other than we will DEFINITELY be staying next year!
