Five bedrooms and five bathrooms sleep 10 in this single-level pool home at gated Solterra Resort in Davenport. Your screened pool and bubbling spa sit on a south-facing deck, and the air-conditioned Mario game room has a pool table, air hockey, and a 120-inch movie screen. The children get themed bedrooms, one with a bunk bed and a slide. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is about 12 miles away.

THE POOL
Your own screened pool and bubbling spa sit on a south-facing deck, with sun loungers, an egg chair for two, and an outdoor dining table. The spa is a raised part of the pool, not a separate hot tub. For families with little ones, there is a safety fence between the house and the pool.

GAME ROOM
The air-conditioned, Mario-themed game room has a 7-foot pool table, air hockey, and foosball. A ceiling-mounted 4K projector and a 120-inch screen turn it into a movie room, and a retro gaming system comes loaded with classic games. Giant Connect 4 and oversized Yahtzee can go out to the pool deck.

BEDROOMS
All five bedrooms are on the ground floor, and each has a smart TV.

KITCHEN AND LIVING
The open-plan kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and a coffee nook, with the dining table beside it. The family room has a 70-inch smart TV. Wi-Fi is included.

SOLTERRA RESORT
The resort clubhouse has a pool with a waterslide and waterfall, a lazy river, a hot tub, a covered pool patio, poolside cabanas to rent, a café, a fitness center, tennis courts, a sports field, walking trails, and a children’s playground. Solterra Resort charges $35 per family for each stay for the card that opens the clubhouse facilities; you pay it at the clubhouse. The clubhouse is run by the resort, and its opening hours can change.

By car, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom are each about 20 minutes, and Universal Orlando about 30 minutes, without heavy traffic. The nearest supermarket, Publix at Ovation, is about 3 miles away, and Orlando International Airport about 27 miles.

GETTING IN
You let yourselves in with a private door code, which we send you before you arrive. Park on your own driveway: Solterra issues 5 parking passes per home and does not allow parking on the street.

GOOD TO KNOW
Pool and spa heating is optional: $35 a night, with a 4-night minimum. The home does not come with a grill, but you can rent a gas grill for your stay. You arrive to a starter supply of coffee, soap, shampoo and conditioner, dishwasher tabs, laundry pods, trash bags, and bathroom tissue. Smoking is allowed outside only.
