Noisy elevator right outside the bedroom
If I had known how close to the elevator this unit was, I would have never booked it. The main bedroom is so close to the elevator, you could open the window and shake hands with people getting off. Every time the elevator arrived--Ding! It became a reliable wake up call at 6 am, unfortunately. In addition, there is a security light directly outside the window of the main bedroom that never shuts off. It was literally darker in the room during the day than at night despite the curtains and blinds.The management of this unit also has some problems. First, they charged the full amount at the time of booking instead of following the schedule noted on VRBO; when contacted, they blamed VRBOs system and offered to refund the part that wasn't due yet. Then, upon arrival, they gave the wrong code for the door and no instructions for locking it, but we eventually figured it out (use check mark instead of star at the end of the code).We had maintenance come because the Roku remote was missing We also suggested changing the AC filter while he was there (it was caked in dust). He came while were out (after calling to confirm it was OK to enter). He didn't bring a Roku remote, left the TV running, and the door was left unlocked (possibly because he had the wrong code also)
