« Belle maison coloniale au calme et à la vue magnifique. Le personnel est tres pro, accueillant sans être invasif. On se sent bien dans cet hôtel. La cuisine est saine et savoureuse, adaptée aux goûts occidentaux (pas trop pimentée !) »

« Chambre agréable, belle vue sur les Himalayas, beau jardin Petit déjeuner et dîner médiocre pour une européenne qui ne mangent pas indien ! Service moyen »

« Room too cold. Cant be adequately heated. Staff refused to give 2nd key to keep heater on . Cockroaches in dining area/table. Staff ignored when cockroaches were pointed out. »

« Sterling Darjeeling is a great place to stay for a trip to the area. The location is much better than anything close to the mall. You can avoid all the traffic and noise of central Darjeeling. Views of the valley and surround mountains are great. The staff is very helpful. If you’re traveling from the airport, you will get to the property much faster (hours) than any place close to the mall because of all the traffic even though it’s only a few kilometers away. I would highly recommend Sterling...

« It is a heritage hotel in keeping with bygone times. Super close to the mall. Lovely dining room for dinner with fireplace and candlelit. Food was terrific with alot of choices. If I were to go back to darjeeling I would definitely stay here. ...the drive from bagdogra to darjeeling is an experience in itself. »

« Juniper Reaidency is the most convenient three-star hotel to the shared jeep stop. The proprietor helpfully arranged a half day taxi to all the nearby sites I wanted to visit and also recommended a few I didn’t know about. She also arranged a taxi for a cheaper rate than I was able to negotiate myself. The restaurant here is currently under renovation. You may need to request additional bedding. The hotel has access to all the clean water you would need. »

« It is an excellent place to stay if you are not looking for a classical style "Hotel". It has a very warm and ready-to-please Staff - only 8 of them to manage all ten rooms. It is a heritage Property with all the quaintness and old-world charm in terms of the building and furnishings etc. It has a feeling of a large Homestay with very personalised Service. Recently renovated and therefore still needs some "De-bugging" I would recommend it if you are looking for a warm and stay »
