BEACHFRONT COTTAGE ON THE WATER TWO BEDROOM ONE BATH UPPER UNIT

This upper unit oceanfront two-bedroom one bathroom property comes complete with a full kitchen and ocean view living room. There is shared parking for one vehicle and street parking as well. You will enjoy a King-sized bed in bedroom one, a Queen size bed in bedroom two, and a couch in the living room which has a full ocean view complete with dolphins playing in the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Fresh towels and linens will be provided. The beautiful living room opens up to a deck patio that looks out to the ocean. There is also a private gated courtyard located in the back of the upper unit, great for a smoke break or pets. The downstairs outdoor seating area is shared with the lower unit, it comes with an ocean front outdoor heated spa that is shared with the lower unit. The newly constructed bonfire area with outdoor bar and seating area is right on the Strand and is shared with the lower unit. This area sits right on the Strand. A shared BBQ also comes with the property. This home is steps away from the ocean on the Strand in Oceanside. The Strand is the boardwalk of Oceanside Beach and is the most popular location in coastal San Diego. You will find yourself within walking distance to many great restaurants. Great eats like Bagby and LTH (Local Tap House) on Coast Highway are great options for amazing food and happy hour. If you need snacks or drinks, the locally known Wisconsin Market is only blocks from this vacation home. You can also find a great coffee shop next door to Wisconsin Market. It is only a short walk to the bustling nightlife of downtown Oceanside and fishing right off the Oceanside Pier. If you are feeling adventurous, check out Oceanside Harbor to rent a boat, wave runner, or paddle boat for the day. ASK OWNER FOR INFO ON OUR PRIVATE AIRPORT VALET. Dogs are allowed but they cannot be over 40 lbs or the guests will be asked to leave. Breed restrictions apply, please clear pets with owner before booking. The pet fee is a non-refundable $100 per dog.

Had a lovely stay overnight in the area to enjoy the local cuisine with friends and relax. We had a few small hiccups upon arrival, but it was easily overcome. We were able to relax and enjoy the view. Check-in and check-out was easy and fit our time schedule nicely.

I recently stayed at the Beachfront Cottage and was thoroughly impressed by the fantastic value for the location. The view is hard to beat, offering a picturesque backdrop that made my stay even more enjoyable. It's an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and I highly recommend not missing the Oceanside Sunset Market on Thursday nights—it's a local gem!One of the highlights was sitting at a fire table right on the Strand, which added a cozy and unique touch to the experience. While the place is a bit aged and the amenities are on the minimalist side, they are appropriate for the price. Overall, a great stay with plenty of charm and convenience.

The best part of the place was the ocean front view. The place is more run down than pictures show. Kitchen was not fully stocked with cooking items and cups/coffee mugs/wine glasses. The guest bedroom was very warm and muggy with just fans to use. There was no screen on sliding glass door to allow us to open the slider at night for fresh air into the bedroom. The owner/manager was very responsive to our requests for items needed during our stay. Very easy to communicate with. You’re paying for the view and access to the ocean.

You can’t beat the location at the end of the Strand. While this is not a luxury unit, it had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, a/c did the trick, and everything except the golf cart worked. New towels were a plus and at least Bellagio standard room hotel quality—very soft. It felt like home for a few days. The host was friendly and quick to respond to our only call. We’d definitely start here if coming back to Oceanside. The only downers were a dirty hot tub (could have been the dirty guests in the lower unit) and a horde of ants on the deck after a piece of food fell under the table.

Love the location. The unit is a sweet little apartment with beach vibes. It is clean and Ray responded to any needs I had promptly. Have stayed her before and will definitely stay again during my next trip to Oceanside.

The host, Ray, is absolutely amazing. So friendly, communicative and just wanted us to have a relaxing time with our family. The place was perfect for our family. Right on the strand with easy beach access for my whole family. Boogie boards were a huge hit for my 2 teenage sons and our 9 year old. The hot tub was so amazing to jump into after spending the day at the beach. Watching the waves, surfers, and sailboats pass by was so relaxing to watch on our giant patio. We grilled on the outdoor grill with our family and just had an amazing time. Portable a/c kept the place nice and cool during the warm part of the day in July and we slept so well on the comfy beds. Thank you, Ray, for an amazing trip filled with many family memories. We will be back next year for sure!

I usually stay at a nearby timeshare that gets rented out by the owners, but chose this place instead. Very glad I did. Communication was excellent with the owner/management. Waking up and propping myself up in bed and watching the ocean through the front siding glass door was incredible. Plus it has a front porch that we ate several breakfasts and meals. I was happy we stayed here and hope to go back soon. The only issue is that the water heater went out on Sunday afternoon, but it was turned back on early Monday morning. Still a great place.

The location is why you are there. The upstairs unit view is why you are there. So manage your expectations and enjoy the relatively lower rental cost. Ray communicates immediately and there were no surprises.

Total the worst stay Ac unit not working! No internet! Ants all over the place the place is not kept up at all the host will not answer you at all doesn’t care he owns a grocery store around the corner. If something doesn’t work, he rather bring you beer or something. This place should be shut down he should not be renting it out. I am looking for some type of compensation. If you’re looking for a place to stay, do not stay here. Oh another one. The hot tub was not working since our stay called the owner he brought some guy out. They did not know what the hell he was doing kept coming and going this guy is truly a slum landlord, he keeps saying he wants to keep it California style also said that he should tear down pictures. Do not look like the place at all so if you’re looking for a nice place to stay, I wouldn’t stay here.

The property location was good. When we arrived, the property was not ready for occupancy. Cleaners were still there cleaning after posted check in time. The property itself was fairly rundown and had ants.

Great little house on the beach to stay in. Nice to have a great view and nobody to block you. The house floorplan is a little quirky, but very comfortable. Terrific. beds in both rooms. Ray is a terrific host. He actually drove us to a restaurant he thought we would love and we did. We plan on rebooking again.

We had a wonderful time watching the waves from the upper balcony and always had a view! The hosts were exceptional and took great care of all of our needs. We loved it so much that we added 2 additional days to our trip and the hosts worked with us to do that. An amazing time, close to shopping, food and the water! Wish we could have stayed even longer! Really great spot! The rocks right outside the property overlooking the ocean are beautiful and an incredible place to watch the sunset- or watch a seal playing around. Its about a 10 min walk (with a 3 yr old) to the beach. It's not the sandiest beach, but its fun and perfect for kids to explore and play! The hot tub is great to warm up in after a cool day at the beach (we went in March). The owner, Ray, is one of the nicest property owners i've come across on VRBO. Truly helpful and fast to reply. If you forgot snacks- or need a bottle of wine- head up to Wisconsin Market- it is FULL of fun snacks/treats for all ages! Be sure to text Jenny (the host) if you need fresh towels or kids games- or really anything, she's very helpful! Would come here again.
