Great ocean views!

This is an ocean-front condo with fantastic views, comfortable beds, and all the amenities (wifi, TV/streaming, washer/dryer, etc.) in good working order. We have stayed here 4 times over the past 3 years and have had wonderful visits. (Instructions are now taped to the door lock and dishwasher, which is very helpful!) However, this year the management changed hands, and did not seem as responsive as in the past. Fortunately, the only issues were minor: the master bedroom was not made up when we arrived, but there were clean sheets available in a cupboard; it's just that when you're charged for linen service, you expect to arrive to a condo with all the beds ready to go. The other problem was with towels (lack of hand towels and face cloths, which on every other visit were in plentiful supply). Again, not a major issue, but it took 6 days to resolve and there was a noticeable lack of communication amongst the management staff ("oh, I thought that had been taken care of"/"no-one told me what you needed"). Luckily it wasn't anything more pressing that we needed from them!

A little slice of heaven in OC

If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and rejuvenate in Ocean City then this is it. North Ocean City is beautiful, quiet, and a much more private area than mid and downtown. Where else can you sit on your balcony watching the Ocean waves, dolphins swimming by and foxes playing in the sand dunes all at the same time! The property itself is clean, well equipped and decorated beautifully. The showers have great water pressure and the washer and dryer work well too. These are things that sometimes get overlooked in reviews.I really have no complaints except that the cleaning staff forgot to clean a few things in the kitchen but it was an easy fix on our part. We would most definitely rent this unit again!

Wonderful views in a comfortable setting

This was our third stay at this property — we love being ocean-front and this is a great condo! On this visit, I noted all-new window treatments (which had been an issue for me in the past, since the old ones didn't close all the way for privacy) -- the new shades are gorgeous and easy to use. It's always nice to arrive to beds that are already made, with clean towels waiting. Also, in addition to ample towel racks, both tubs have a clothesline, handy for wet swimsuits. One thing to know is that the master bedroom mattress is very high -- I'm not short, but I have to give a little hop to get up on the bed. Shorter folks might benefit from a little step stool. Neither sliding door onto the balcony has a screen, which isn't a problem in the off-season but might be an issue for bugs/flies in the summer if you wanted leave it open to get fresh air in or just listen to the ocean. Also, the glass on the sliding door in the living room fogs up in its interior -- not something you can wipe off, and it waxes and wanes but never goes away entirely, and we never figured out how to make it better. It was a bit of a bummer since what I love best is the ocean view! But overall, great stay, all appliances work, and Vrbo has always been very responsive to any questions/needs. (On this visit the fridge wasn't clean when we arrived; I had already scrubbed it out in order to empty our cooler by the time I informed Vrbo, and they responded right away and contacted the cleaning crew who then got in touch with me. So it all worked out.)

Comfortable Condo

Comfortable Condo, nice renovations. The only thing we can say that we didn't like is everytime we cooked on the stove no matter what it was, it always tried to smoke us out even with the over head fan on. The wall outlets in some of the rooms did not work and the TV cable in one of the rooms cut out at last day of our trip. I don't want to complain because it was a very nice place to stay for a weekend and we had a great time. Clean other than sand left in the shower on arrival but we are at the beach so we weren't too bothered by it.

Very comfortable condo right on the beach

This condo is comfortable and well appointed, with newer appliances, a big Roku TV, comfortable beds, a great view of the ocean and a roomy balcony. The decor isn’t new but there’s everything you could want, and the 2 bedroom 2 bath configuration provided plenty of room and privacy. The location in North Ocean City is quieter and the beach is pretty. The only complaint we have is that the WiFi login rarely works, and didn’t work at all with some of our devices.

Breakaway East 512

We have stayed in this building for 8 years. This was our first time in 512. We absolutely love the location. It is quiet and close to Fenwick Island. There is nothing better than watching the sunrise over the ocean on the balcony!

Post pandemic disappointment

We've stayed at this location before so we like the area and are familiar with the layout. After the pandemic, cleanliness and aesthetics are important. The TurnKey/VRBO team assured us it would be especially so. It was average. It smelled clean, but counters were sticky and sandy. The fridge was fingerprinted. Stovetop had not been cleaned from burned cooking. On-suite tub was clogged and my husband had to plunge. Even then, it drained slow and you took a shower in standing water. The TurnKey concierge tablet was so filthy you really didn't want to use it because of the 100s of previous germy fingers! Okay we came prepared and detoxed and antibacterial wiped to make ourselves feel safer. The real kicker was lack of cable television and wifi connectivity though. Great location, ok condo

The location and view were great. The condo was meh. Dishwasher was broken when we arrived and management had someone sent out who did not wear a mask and did not fix the dishwasher. The repair person did not stick around to see if it was fixed. I didnt want to have the repair person come out again so we hand washed everything. The condo was ok for a rental. I have been in worse. The furniture could have been better. The master bed was noisy and very high. The sofa with the bed was not comfortable. Only one dresser in the master which meant we had to keep clothes in the suitcase. There is a closet but we didn't have clothes that needed to be hung. I might be a little picky but I just expected a more updated condo for the price.

Perfect Getaway

The condo has a fabulous location. All the amenities were spot on, although WiFi and television was a little problematic. A screen for the patio door would have been nice. We had let fresh air in and bugs were able to fly into the space. The condo was very clean and well appointed. Definitely will book again - hopefully, soon.

Great ocean-front experience

The condo is nicely appointed with durable furniture and uncarpeted floors -- great for folks with sandy/wet kids coming in from the beach. Plenty of racks for wet towels and bathing suits, and even a clothes line in the tub area. The condo has seen a bit of wear and tear -- the vertical blinds were balky (and didn't close all the way in the master bedroom!) (also one slat was broken and I had to tape it to get it to stay up), and we never could get the balcony sliding door to lock (but it's 5th floor, so...). Also the entryway screen door was seriously sticking at the top, like to the point where I was afraid I was pulling too hard and might break it -- so I taped a piece of cardboard to it to keep it from going all the way shut and sticking. But overall a nice place to stay, clean and bright, and right on the beach!!

AWESOME SUNRISE VIEWS

It is hard to find a better location. You can actually enjoy unobstructed ocean and beach views from the balcony, living room and also master bedroom. No road to cross to go to the beach, a nice and short sand path directly from the condo building. Super easy parking, at the back of the building. What could be improved is some kitchenware: additional non stick skillets and sharp knives come to mind.

We give it a B!

My sister and I needed some girl time and at first glance the place was clean. Germ wise it was clean. Clean sheets and towels and clean bathroom and kitchen. But it was dusty. My allergies told me so, plus I saw the dust on the furniture and ceiling fan blades. Windows were never cleaned and there were Cheetos and piles of sand on the balcony from the previous renter. #1 Issue and Worst part - the lock on the front door. Turnkey rental mgmt gave us a 10 digit passcode. Ridiculous. But even when we used our phones to ensure we didn’t type in the wrong numbers, it was difficult to open. Took us a min of 3 tries every time - Pain in the butt! One evening after a long day at the beach, we were locked ot because the battery died in the lock. Took us almost an hour to get in touch with the rental property mgr to help us get inside. There we stood in the dark, 2 middle aged women, cell phones at 1%, hungry, no money or credit cards, wet sandy bathing suits, by ourselves and soooo angry. I sure hope the owners install a better locking mechanism. Issue #2 - the two hoses on the building are for only the special people to be able to rinse the sand from their feet. Seriously, we were told that the owners were supposed to leave a “key” for the spigot. Nope! So do we bring a ton of sand in the condo and say “oh well, not my problem”? No we didn’t do that. But we did get a dishpan and filled it with water and sat it outside the door. You’re welcome condo owners. Issue #3 - handle to the slider literally broke off in my hand. Which made it difficult to open the slider that was in dire need of sand removal in the track and some WD-40! Issue#4 - you cannot run any other water regardless of temperature while someone is showering. They will scald themselves and then freeze themselves. Extreme temp fluctuations. General comment : the vrbo site doesn’t explain exactly what is included and what isn’t. So I’ll tell you. The coffee pot is a normal auto drip so don’t take k-cups. There are sheets and towels and a couple of dish towels but no paper towels or toilet paper or tissues. If you want to wash more than one load of clothes, take laundry soap. There are also no trash bags. Take supplies! Salt and pepper. Plastic bags. Plastic cups. Etc. We were safe. Clean. Had the basic needs all met. It was a bit expensive but it is July and we did have an amazing view of the ocean. So aside from the lock mishap, would still give it a solid B.

Excellent!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Excellent view and location right on the beach. We had a little trouble getting in, but we didn’t have to wait long for help. There were also people from adjacent properties parked in our reserved parking.
