Welcome to the Big Sky Cabin at Yosemite! This tastefully decorated 3 bed/2 bath home sits on over 3 private acres with amazing views of the Sierra Nevada mountains! With nearly 2,000 square feet, this property gives you a relaxing and spacious retreat after your Yosemite and Bass Lake excursions. The great location puts you just 11 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite, 5 miles to the shores of Bass Lake, and 4 miles to downtown Oakhurst for your grocery and shopping needs!

The entire home is all on 1 level, making it more accessible to elderly and small children.

Bedding/Bath Configuration is as follows:

Bedroom #1 (Master) with en suite bathroom- One King Bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom #2- One Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bedroom #3- One Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bathroom #2 is located in a common area just outside bedrooms #2 and #3

*The entire front and back yards of the home are fenced in, making it great for your pups to run around. Kindly ensure you pick up after your dogs, and please ensure they are registered on your reservation! Please do not leave the dogs unattended inside the home, thank you!

Rental Agreement- Immediately after booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will be sent to you via text and email for E-signing. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours to finalize your reservation. You will also need to upload a photo of the ID associated with the credit card on file. This is solely for fraud protection purposes. E-signing allows you to go straight to the property upon your arrival, instead of coming to our office to sign and get a key!

Welcome Guide - One week prior to arrival, we will text you a link to an online welcome guide. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more!

Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.

Heating/AC- The home is equipped with a central heat and AC system throughout the entire home.

The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.

Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes in our area.

*Fireplace/Firepits- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is typically unavailable in the summer and fall months, due to heightened fire risk in the area. Propane firepits and BBQ grills are usable year round. Since the property has an adequate heating system, firewood is not provided. You are most welcome to bring any for your own ambiance if you wish, or you may use any that might be at the property left by friends, family, or other guests.

There is enough parking for up to 5 cars at this property. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. Please be mindful to obey speed laws and drive slowly in residential neighborhoods!

Early check ins are often difficult for our team to accommodate. If you would like to check in early, please reach out to us after 2PM on the day of your arrival so we can check with our team. If you need guaranteed early check in, we recommend booking the night before your arrival so that you may check in as early as you wish. For checkout, most vacation homes have a 10AM check out in our area. We provide an 11AM checkout, and unfortunately can rarely offer a later checkout.

Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 6.

Security Cameras- There is an external camera that faces the driveway of the home.

Chains- California Highway Patrol and the National Park Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.

No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.

Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!

Mail- Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.

Calling Us - After booking, you are always welcome to call us at our main phone number, 24/7. That number does not receive text messages, but you will receive a text from us after booking and you can respond to that text thread any time you like. We check text messages regularly during the day and early evening.

Please note this property is nestled in the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, offering a serene escape into nature. However, being in such a pristine environment means that you may occasionally encounter some of nature's residents, such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, and cobwebs. We take every precaution, including regularly scheduled professional pest control to minimize these occurrences, but they are a natural part of the mountain experience and may get past our defenses from time to time. If you do notice any of this during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort.

Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!

Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guest's information to copyright holder.

Simple Checkout Instructions-
1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
2. Please do not wash any sheets or towels. They're professionally serviced off-site.
3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be very helpful. Thank you!
4. Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located out by the parking! It really helps us keep the critters away!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
P.S. Don't forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving!

Amazing home with amazing views

We loved this property. It was the prefect place for our yosemite vacation. Only 20 minutes from the park south entrance. Plenty of stores for grocery and souvenirs 5 minutes away in town. Plenty of good restaurants there too. The home was super clean and very spacious. We really enjoyed the back yard. Grilled out several nights overlooking the national forest which is right next to the property. The hot tub was amazing. Fits 4 adults comfortably. Views over the mountains and forest from the tub. Really nothing bad to say about this place. Rental company communicated very well and check in with us. Super easy check in and check out. Would highly recommended staying here for your vacation. Super awesome place! Only one small concern to be aware of... the road to the cabin is a little bumpy which is not the owners fault, it's the county road. Not a major issue, but a little annoying coming in and out.

Good views, great location

This place is a great location if you're interested in accessing Yosemite and Bass Lake. It is tucked in at the top of a small hill, and the private road to access the property is somewhat steep, but unless you have a low-riding vehicle you should be fine. Management staff was great.
