Sea Salt Haven sits on a quiet no-thru street in a residential neighborhood, close to the beach and everyday conveniences.

SE 40th Street beach access is a 2-minute cruise away in The Binz. Groceries, local restaurants, coffee shops and shopping are also a short ride away. Nearby Middleton Park offers a playground, splash pad and seasonal events, including outdoor concerts.

Sidewalks run in both directions at the end of our street, with no need to cross East Oak Island Drive to reach them. For a scenic walk to the beach, take the SE 31st Street walkway—approximately 0.5 mile, or 10 minutes.

Enjoy self check-in through our smart lock. Your unique door code will be provided on check-in day.

Sea Salt Haven is elevated on pilings, so stairs are required to enter. Once inside, all bedrooms, bathrooms and main living spaces are on one level.

Guests have private use of the home, porches, yard and outdoor amenities, including the screened hot tub, outdoor shower, grill and gathering areas.

The garage is accessible for The Binz, bikes and beach equipment. It is not available for guest vehicle parking.

Only locked owner-storage areas are off-limits, including the storage room beneath the house and the owner’s bin in the primary bedroom walk-in closet.

The bright, open living, dining and kitchen areas flow together with a cohesive coastal design. Gather for a leisurely breakfast, a lively card game or conversation over dinner, with comfortable bedrooms ready when you want a little time to yourself.

Outside, choose your spot: morning coffee on the screened porch, an afternoon book on the sunny deck or a quiet moment in the cushioned front porch rockers. Covered seating and dining beneath the house give everyone more room to spread out and enjoy the island air.

Your stay includes use of The Binz, our six-seat LSV golf cart, plus live TV and streaming entertainment—all at no extra charge.

ARRIVING & GETTING AROUND

Oak Island is best reached by car. Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is approximately a 50-minute drive from Sea Salt Haven.

Once you arrive, enjoy nearby beaches, restaurants and shops using The Binz, our included six-seat street-legal golf cart, the provided bikes or your own vehicle. Sidewalks at the end of our street make walking easy, too.

A personal vehicle is recommended for exploring beyond the island. Historic downtown Southport is approximately 20 minutes away, and Wilmington is about 40–50 minutes away, depending on your destination and traffic.

PERSONALLY OWNED, MANAGED & DESIGNED

Sea Salt Haven is personally owned, managed and designed with the little things in mind—the details and amenities we appreciate when we travel ourselves and would want waiting for us when we arrive. Our goal is to make your stay comfortable, convenient and easy to enjoy from the start.

EARLY CHECK-IN REQUESTS

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be available for an additional $25 per hour, subject to availability and prior approval. If you’d like to arrive early, let us know your preferred time, and we’ll confirm whether we can accommodate your request.

THE BINZ & RESIDENT BEACH PARKING

The Oak Island resident beach parking permit applies only to The Binz, not personal vehicles. Only registered overnight guests may drive or ride in The Binz. All drivers must be at least 25 years old, provide a copy of their valid driver’s license, and complete the required recreational-use waiver before driving.

ROUTINE PROPERTY SERVICE

Scheduled lawn care, hot tub service and trash-bin service may occur during your stay. Service providers may access the yard, screened hot tub area or garage as needed but will not enter the home. We will provide advance notice whenever possible.

COASTAL ENVIRONMENT

Sea Salt Haven receives routine professional pest-control service. However, insects are part of the coastal environment and may occasionally find their way indoors. Please keep exterior doors and window screens closed, and let us know promptly if you notice an issue so we can address it.

SECURITY & PRIVACY

One exterior security camera is mounted beneath the front of the house. It monitors the garage entrance, driveway and bottom of the exterior staircase and records video and audio when motion is detected. It does not monitor interior spaces or private outdoor areas.

A noise-monitoring device in the living room measures sound levels only and does not record or transmit conversations.

HOUSE RULES & BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

• The guest making the reservation must be at least 25 years old and must stay at Sea Salt Haven for the duration of the reservation. Third-party bookings are not permitted.
• Maximum occupancy is seven guests, best suited for no more than six adults.
• Only registered overnight guests and pre-approved visitors are permitted on the property.
• No pets.
• Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. Please keep noise low and respect our neighbors.
• No smoking, vaping, or marijuana anywhere on the property. Additional cleaning or remediation costs resulting from a violation may be charged to the guest.
• No parties or events. Guests are responsible for damages, excess cleaning, or other costs resulting from a violation.
• Prior to arrival, the booking guest must review and agree to the Rental Agreement, complete the pre-arrival form, and sign the separate Recreational Waiver.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance in case weather, travel issues, illness, or other unexpected circumstances affect your trip.
