It is certainly no accident that you just stumbled across this gem! This 3 BR, 2BA beach home is conveniently located in the heart of OKI just two blocks away from the beach access(just 3 min walk). “Accidentally Ours” is charming with big, beautiful oak trees in the front yard and cozy on the inside with vibrant beachy colors. If you are looking to relax and have some fun, "Accidentally Ours" is the place!

As you enter the front door, you are greeted by a vast screened-in porch furnished with a large table and plenty of seating- great for meals or to enjoy your morning coffee/afternoon beverage. Continue to the inside of the home and you will find an open concept boasting a comfy oversized couch and loveseat with a beautifully appointed, updated kitchen outfitted with all new appliances and countertops. The home has two sets of Twin bunk beds in one room, a Queen in another, and a King bedroom with an attached Master Bathroom. After a day at the beach come back, clean off in the hot/cold outdoor shower, and unwind. The back of the home has a newly created screened-in game room area complete with a ping pong table, darts, an outdoor refrigerator, microwave, and bar seating for 4. The backyard offers privacy and there is plenty of space to play a game of Cornhole, Bocce, croquet, or just toss the ball around. Additionally, the back of the house offers a great deck with table and chairs. Centrally located just off of Oak island Drive, this home is only a quick 8 minute walk to the Oak Island Pier and close to many of the shops and restaurants in Oak Island. There is a 7 night minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Memorial Day Get Away

Love the beach and it was so easy to access from the house. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. Was awesome for dinner and hanging out; and played a lot of games on the table in this area. I wish the ping pong table was cleaned and had good ping pong balls to play with. That was a disappointment, but not a deal breaker. Also, the deck in the back needs to be fixed or replace and new deck furniture is needed badly....but again the front porch made up for that. Overall we would rent this place again for sure.

Cozy and great location just needed a porch cleaning

It’s a cozy cottage good for a few days with the family. Very clean on the inside. The porch had not been cleaned and needed a good vacuuming and all the furniture was covered in pollen along with the ceiling fans. The outdoor ceiling fans did not work, and the indoor ceiling fans were very loose on the ceiling.I connected through Vrbo and they instructed me to reach out via text and email and phone for maintenance. I did all three and got no responses. I decided to clean off an area of the porch myself and did not want people coming in the house since we were only there for three nights. I’m hoping they will make it better for the next Guests.The location was great quick walk to the beach. Just disappointed in the porch because that’s one of the key ingredients for a great stay for our family.

OKI Visit

The property was in a great location. Clean and well appointed. My favorite part of the home was the large screened in front porch overlooking the gorgeous live oak trees. The only dark cloud to our stay was PTC 8. This brought massive rainfall to Brunswick county, including about 12” on the back screened porch. Thankfully, the water did not get into the home. One thing, the yard needed to be mowed when we arrived.

Great group to rent from

Everything was good. Only thing I noticed, and I’m a clean freak so don’t put much judgement on this, the ping pong table was very dusty/dirty and the siding on the front porch could use a cleaning. We loved the house and it’s location. Salt and Sand did an excellent job keeping us up to date and getting information was quick and easy. Nicely done team!

Nice and cosy place conveniently located

We enjoyed our stay and the location of the house. It was a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to the grocery store. Some restaurants were a walking distance and many more were further off the main road. About 10 minutes walk to the pier and a couple of restaurants next to it. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay at a beach house.

Perfect for families with teens

We had an excellent time. Property is a short walk to a very nice stretch of beach. Had everything we needed, including a beach cart. The teens loved hanging in the rec area. Great opportunities for gathering together but also finding quiet space when needed!

Clean, good location-- easy 2 block walk to the beach, quick walk to businesses on E Oak Dr, very nice screened in front porch, beautiful kitchen, nice bedrooms although all come off main living area, well stocked kitchen and equipment for beach was convenient.

Small but convenient home close to beach, needs a better cleaning staff

My family stayed at this property recently and found it to be very convenient to the beach. It’s a short two block walk to the beach, but I would note that there is a steep dune to climb over, which was difficult for older folks to traverse. The only issue we had was with cleanliness. When we arrived, there was sand on the floors and crumbs under the couch, and a film on the countertops. I know that being close to the beach means that sand is inevitable, but the property was supposed to have been cleaned before we arrived. I do think that a cleaning crew came through, but we’re not as attentive to the nooks and crannies as maybe they should’ve been. And because it was so simple to clean ourselves, we did not reach out to the property management company for any help. We did have an issue with the electronic lock while we were there. For an unknown reason, the deadbolt stopped working. I was able to call the support number, and a maintenance person was out to our house within half an hour of my phone call to repair the lock. That was excellent service!

Lovely stay!

We really had a great vacation at Accidentally Ours. The house is 5 min to the beach and having the beach cart was very convenient. The house was very clean when we got there and very cool. There was plenty of kitchenware , and cooking utensils . The game room was very useful for the kids. Communication was great with the management company! Our favorite spot Was having breakfast, dinners and playing board games in the covered front desk patio. The area is really close to shops and activities and walking distance to the coffee shop across the street. The beaches are really nice too! Can’t wait to come back to OKI next year! Just perfect!

This is a perfect little house. The house had everything we needed especially the kitchen. I usually have to go by a pan or pot not this time. Check in was a breeze and the communication with property manager was excellent. Very clean and well laid out. Will definitely be renting this house again!!

Lovely home

Well equipped. Lots of dishes and glasses. Air conditioning and ceiling fan kept house cool. Nice gas grill. Fun ping pong table and corn toss. Front screened in porch was shaded and enjoyable to use. Very clean and comfortable. Great proximity to beach and easy to park at public access too. Beach is gorgeous. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay near the beach.

Great location! Well-equipped house!

Great location! Just a short 2 block walk to the beach, a street or 2 down from the pier, but the owners provided a beach wagon and nice beach chairs, so we didn’t even have to carry anything. The kitchen was fresh and clean and completely stocked with anything you’d need -including a crock pot!! just like a kitchen at home. I did have to wash the coverlets for the king and queen bed because they definitely were not washed by housekeeping, but washing them myself was no big deal and gave me peace of mind. The bathtubs also needed a good scrub. I contacted Salt and Sand and they apologized profusely and rectified the situation. I always travel with my own cleaning supplies anyway, so the10 min it took to deal with those issues didn’t put a damper on my vacation. The quick and attentive response from the property manager tells me these issues are not the norm. This house was SO comfortable with every amenity a person could need. Each morning, we had coffee on the beautiful screened porch and ate several dinners out there as well. The a/c in the place is a workhorse, so we weren’t ever complaining about being hot inside the house. The leather couch and counter chairs were easily wipeable and looked so nice. The game room outside is AWESOME! They’ve really thought of everything needed for family fun. Our 18 yr old kids thought the location and home were perfect. We plan to rent the same place next year.

Great house!

This house has everything that you need, from kitchen utensils to beach chairs. Super cute. The front porch was spacious and comfortable. Short walk to beach. The game room was a hit for the teenagers. They loved it.
