Spacious 2BR Norwich Cottage with seasonal pool

The spacious 2BR Red Cottage was built as a fully detached in-law suite to the Main House (separate listing "4BR Norwich Historic Home") located in historic Bean Hill, Norwich Town. Set on 3.5 acres of land, these properties provide privacy while leaving room for plenty of activities, including an in-ground covered pool (shared between both listings), a basketball hoop, soccer, and exploring the land. The porch at the red cottage faces away from the main house and provides plenty of privacy.

You will find plenty of yard space to enjoy nature, play sports, and bird watching. There is also a little pond and a little trail.

The property is overall very quiet because it is set back from the street, providing plenty of privacy. However, with the I-395 passing close by, you will have some traffic noise.

The property is less than a 5-minute walk to the Marriott hotel, an 8-minute drive to Mohegan Sun. A 30-minute drive to Mystic, CT, and about a 40-minute drive to Misquamicut beach in Rhode Island. The drive to Newport, RI is about an hour.

The covered in-ground pool is not heated. The pool is open end of May through the end of September, with the season opening and closing being weather-dependent. The pool area will heat up with the sun, but only so much on cooler days.

The best way to get around is by car

A high chair and pack-n-play are available upon request.

DOGS: We allow our guests to bring their dog(s) as long as they are fixed and house-trained, and friendly. This is out of courtesy for other guests who might be renting the main house. Guests are responsible for any damage dogs may cause, and urine stains inside the house will require an extra cleaning fee of $150. All dogs must be leashed while on the property! We do not allow cats.

This is a strictly non-smoking property. A cleaning fee of $250 will apply if guests smoke inside the house.

No parties in the sense of inviting guests beyond the ones that you booked the home for.
