« Although the NZ weather was not welcoming, the Barefoot Cottage made up for it. It is ideal for a couple, clean, tidy and an excellent view of the ocean. An easy walk to the nearby cafe and beach (if only it was beach weather). We would definitely stay there again. »

« Fantastic comms with the host from the outset and a lovely place to be based. Perfect to have a fully fenced yard for our dog and to be able to put kayaks in the estuary just metres from the gate. Property is clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. »

« Pam's place is the perfect getaway for a little holiday. Its cozy and well equipped with the spa pool set at the perfect temperature. The views are lovely and it so so peaceful. Surrounded by nature, we even had Rosellas join us for breakfast. Pam is super responsive and accommodating, and the welcome gift basket was the nicest touch to our arrival. We liked it there so much so we had to stay an extra night! Highly recommend this place if you need a little relaxing holiday with the most amazing...

« We found the cottage to be well appointed, warm and welcoming. It is close to the Te Araroa trail and we were able to enjoy a drink by the river at the end of our section walk, then wander back to the cottage for dinner and a good sleep! »

« Nostalgic Privilege! 280 degree front views of the moana, acres of lush green yonder with hahi, urupā, te waka aa kaihao and peaceful tranquility. Pickering Cottage stay was clean, with cosy nooks, traditional cuboards and their fittings, slanted walls, drift wood curtain rods and door handles. Traditional side draws and dining furnisher, no wall paper present with my favourite being the wide KAURI floors. WOW!! Enjoyed the huge washing utility room that housed everything from washing...

« What a great find for us. It was exactly what we were looking for as we were visiting for a friend’s wedding. We would definitely highly recommend this place! »

« The location of the unit is ideal for visiting attractions in the Bay of Islands. Its a lovely walk into town and the wharf, the beach is literally at the end of the street. The unit is well equipped and spacious to make your stay enjoyable, things like beach towels and pantry condiments were much appreciated. All the beds were comfortable, the sofa beds were surprisingly good. The communication with the onsite person was excellent and very helpful. We would love to stay here again »
