« We tried booking beachfront hotels but when we saw this place, we instantly knew that it will offer us better accommodation. The view was spectacular from the room. The area was quiet the place feels like home. Very comfortable and to top it off, the delicious homemade breakfast by the owners. They were very accommodating and entertaining at the same time. It was our first time in Paihia and it did not disappoint us. Will definitely book this accommodation on our next visit. »

« We like the views from our room. I like the accommodation having shower robe and they have it. Excellent! Customer service was excellent. We like healthy breakfast and the dining overlooking the sea. Convenience of walking to town was great. Parking not so easy as it was elevated but not an issue. »

« From the moment you drive down the driveway you know you are in for the biggest treat. Beautifully crafted stand alone units with high end attention to detail will delight any visitor. It’s the wonderful hosts Graeme and Lisa that complete an all together wonderful stay. Ahuru Lodge has been created with every travellers detail in mind see the cinema….Our breakfast was excellent and so spoilt with Lisa’s coffee! The only negative is that we had to head back home. Can’t wait for the next visit. »

« My traveling pal and I had the entire lodge to ourselves. We loved the property. Sadly we did not bring anything to eat and all the vendors were closed before we arrived. Thankfully there was a bag of potatoe chips at the outside bar. That was our meal for the day. Please let guests know how winding and without light the approaching roads are. Jack the cat was sweet. It would be a nightmare parking with more guests. The gated parking is too tight to maneuver in with 3 cars let alone 6. We...

« Michael and Chris (and all of their animals) are expert hosts with a beautiful property and everything that you could ask for. We really enjoyed spending a bit of time with them and genuinely think that their bnb was the best accommodation we stayed in on our entire 3 week long honeymoon. They're incredibly knowledge about the area, with impeccable recommendations, and the house is well situated for plenty of activities.
