« I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms. « Great value. Room and hotel are clean and look fairly new. Hotel is just off the highway but we didn’t hear any noise. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and shower was good. Breakfast included eggs, sausages, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal and other items. Seems better than a two star hotel. »

« Beautiful room. We stayed in the efficiency king room which included a full size black fridge and also a flat top stove top. The room was very modern I definitely recommend. »

« The resort and grounds are gorgeous. The on-site dining was convenient and the food was mostly quality (except for the Caesar salad). The room was clean and spacious. My only issue was the water pressure-for the shower it was basically non-existent. »

« This is a beautiful luxury resort with all the amenities and it has a super friendly atmosphere. The spa experience is top notch and the therapists are excellent. There were some areas that were not open and under renovation during our stay. There were also a few restaurants that were closed which made the selection limited. Still, the accommodations are beautiful and the 2200 acres spectacular. A lot to see and do so if you are alone or traveling with kids there are plenty of activities. »
