The Season
Fall, winter and early spring are when this stretch of coast finally exhales. Rates drop, the beach empties out, and the low warm light on the water is the reason people who know the area come now. You'll get a table at the restaurants that need a two-hour wait in July — and the fishing is better.

Where You'll Be
Cherry Grove is the quieter end of North Myrtle Beach: wide, clean sand, the famous pier, and a calm residential feel, yet only 10–15 minutes from everything the Grand Strand is known for.

Beach & Water

Cherry Grove Beach — steps from the condo. Gentle surf, calm mornings, and the best shelling after a low tide.
Cherry Grove Pier — a short walk down the sand. Fish off the end, or just watch the sunrise with coffee.
Heritage Shores Nature Preserve — a free, easy boardwalk trail through tidal marsh. Great for birding and photographs.
Water sports — kayak, paddleboard and jet-ski rentals at the marina end of the inlet for calmer water.

Golf — the real off-season draw

Tidewater Golf Club — the area's signature course, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
The Surf Golf & Beach Club and Arcadian Shores — both within a few minutes' drive.
Off-season means tee times you can actually get, at prices you'll like.

Little River & the Intracoastal Waterway — charter fishing, casino boat cruises, and dolphin-watching trips.
Barefoot Landing and Tanger Outlets — shopping, dining and the Alabama Theatre, 10–15 minutes.
Main Street, North Myrtle Beach — shag dancing (the state dance) and a genuinely local night out.
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk & SkyWheel — 25–30 minutes if you want the bigger scene.
Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park — 40–50 minutes south, and worth every minute.
