« Very spacious and clean. Nicely decored and homely. Everything you need is there and the host is very good and responsive to queries. The lodge is situated on a nice quiet camp site and has its own single carspace right outside. « Excellent lodge really clean could have done with more crockery and cutlery as only 4 of each items so why have a dishwasher? Also the step to the hot tub needs a non slip mat under neath as extremely dangerous as it moves when getting in and out and one of our party did fall when exiting the hot tub, but saying we would definitely return as lovely peaceful site and really friendly managers »

« This was a lovely sized cabin and perfect for our stay. However, there are quite a few minor maintenance issues which could easily be fixed and/or addressed by the owner. I spoke with someone who works with the cabins and was told the issues I told him of had been reported to the owner on several occasions but nothing was being done about it.Aside from these (a competent handyman would have them all fixed in a morning) it was a lovely cabin. " On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered. The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty. The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold. Coffee and tea were not refilled, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel where better service and cleanliness are expected."
