There are a few guesthouses a couple of minutes walk and it is literally 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the national park. The host is wonderful and is a guide himself, - his wife cooks great meals (recommended the vibe rice option). »

« Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee.
