4 BR Barndominium by the mountains 15 min from Carlisle

The barndominium apartment is the second story of a cute country store named ‘The Pantry Barn’. It’s the only store in little quaint Bloserville and was the residence of the shop owner and his family when the store was originally built in the mid 1900’s. There is a second 2 bedroom vacation rental unit that’s sleeps 4 people, so both can be rented together for a total of 14 people maximum. It has all been made brand new August 2021.

The space is all new with black farmhouse windows, board and batten walls, new heating and A/C . The decor is modern farmhouse/barn. Super cozy bedrooms and a big great room with cathedral ceilings and pool table for fun times with family and friends. 75” flatscreen TV. My husband and I live in a farmhouse 1/4 mile away from the barn. Feel free to ask any questions, I am always available.

A boys weekend.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway with old college friends. 4 bedrooms and room to sleep 5 adult men. Great kitchen and dining area. An awesome main game room/tv area for watching football all weekend. Yes, it's out in the country. Perfect. We didn't feel like we were going to bother anyone, and town was close by to grab a good lunch at a bar and watch some more games. I would recommend bringing food and supplies with you. Pizza will reheat and chicken wings are just as good cold.

Great place!

Had a great time at this place. We were there as a church staff, attending a conference at Bongiorno Conference Center. I only wish there had been a few more typical items like sugar. We almost ran out of toilet paper which I think was probably just a simple oversight and I know the owner would have come over if it was needed. The only other thing to be aware of is that the room with “3 beds” is a bunk bed and then a loveseat that converts to a bed, but it’s like cushions that sit on the floor. Very uncomfortable and we couldn’t use it. I double checked before we stayed that it was a fold out bed, but I think they would be better off with a fold-up twin bed or something instead of that loveseat. We will definitely choose this place again and bring an air mattress if we need more beds! Thanks for treating us well and the pool table was awesome 🙂

Perfect place to stay during fall Carlisle

The four bedroom apt above The Pantry Store was a perfect place to stay while we were at the fall Carlisle event. The parking lot had enough room to park our truck and trailer and the apartment was not only extremely clean, but also spacious enough for several people. Mary was a gracious host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!!

Unique place off the beaten path

Four of us returned to our reunion at Dickinson College. We stayed in the Barndominium which was a unique place. Comfortable, roomy and updated technology were all plusses as well as the pool table. The bedrooms, other than the master, are small and the furniture dated but overall, fit the decor of an updated barn. We used the deck in the morning. Only negative from our standpoint was the location (20 minutes from Carlisle in Bloserville which is very rural) as opposed to the actual home. Would return

Corvette's at Carlisle 2023

This barndominium over a great country store is the perfect place for friends or family. We booked this rental for a 3 day weekend and communication with the owner was amazing she answered every question we had. The place was supplied with everything needed for the stay with exception of food. It was clean updated with WiFi and d apool table. Even tho we brought food with us as always we forgot something and the Pantry Barn below was there for anything we needed. If you are planing a vacation anywhere close to Carlisle PA then this is the place to stay. Thank you again for the wonderful stay cant wait till next year.

Fantastic stay!

This is a great property. It is exactly as listed! Very clean and the property owner is wonderful. If you are in the area and have a large party, I would highly recommend. The owner also has a deli downstairs and it is AMAZING! You should definitely stop in and try the food.

Newville Barndo!

Mary was our [gracious] host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The barndo was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Huge family/living room with large flat screen tv and a pool table. Balcony with a grill [for our steaks & bbq chicken] paired with a large kitchen and table that seats [at least] 8. Deli & convenience store below and close to Carlisle for the event we attended. Quiet and with 4 bedrooms we had our private space as well. Would certainly entertain a return visit!

we always rent a house for meetings with friends and we have never seen a clean house similar !! my girlfriend and the other girls are extremely rigorous with cleanliness and were surprised (inside the cabinet , fridge, kitchen utensils 100% clean) all sheets impeccable ,bed very comfortable .The size of the house left us amazed !!! large room ,the tv looks like a movie screen!!! we will definitely be back

Fit our needs perfectly

This unique, well-cared for property was the perfect find for our needs. The comfort of her guests is Mary’s main objective. She is attentive to making everyone feel special, and every space within the home says “welcome”. How nice it was to know that just a few steps away is the best homemade soup and delI sandwiches ever at The Pantry Barn. Hospitality is the name of the game here! Many thanks to our hosts! The Barndominium was exactly what we hoped for.

After 2 nights at the Barndominium, I did not want to leave. We arrived in Pennsylvania for a weekend of hiking, with plans to use the Barndominium as a place to eat and sleep and that's it. From the moment we went through the smooth check-in process, I knew that we would be spending more time there. It was comfortable, extremely spacious and has that clean fresh woodsy vibe. As of October, 2021, remodeling is still underway. The place is a work in progress, but that work is most definitely a labor of love. Mary has put a lot of thought into this place, with rustic treatments throughout. Yet the kitchen and baths are fully modern and offer a welcome dose of luxury. The beds are quite firm. The lighting is good. And Mary is very responsive to queries. The Barndominium was everything that I was looking for and more. I hope to return again someday.
