In less than a minute's walk, you can reach the golden sand of Porth Beach, which is a popular spot for families and ideal for building sandcastles and building dams across the shallow stream. Porth beach is safe for swimming and surfing, with lifeguards on duty so you can enjoy the waves coming in off the Atlantic. An ice cream hatch and a small café are open during the summer season. If you're looking to refuel, a 5-minute stroll takes you to The Mermaid, a beachside pub with large inside and outside seating areas.
