Built in 1929 and registered under Carteret County's historical registry, The Farmhouse is your home away from home!

Fully renovated to offer modern amenities while still maintaining the integrity of the era, this home provides a spacious and thoughtfully designed layout, perfect for families, groups, or anyone seeking a peaceful escape.

You’ll find four cozy bedrooms: a king bed in the master, queen beds in two additional rooms, and bunk beds in the fourth, making it ideal for up to 10 guests. The property includes two full bathrooms, one with a shower/tub combo for added convenience.

The heart of the home is the living area, complete with a fireplace and comfortable sofas you can just sink into while watching TV! There's also a separate den/library, offering the perfect space to unwind with a book, enjoy a quiet moment, or have a private movie screening.

The full kitchen is stocked with essentials you need to whip up a meal or heat up some takeouts and opens to the spacious dining area, which comfortably seats up to 14, making it great for shared meals and gatherings.

Additional amenities include an in-home laundry room, ample parking, and outdoor spaces designed for relaxation. The front porch provides a welcoming spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a peaceful sunset.

The backyard features a fire pit with tables and chairs, string lights, and games perfect for evening s’mores or fun conversations, as well as a dedicated picnic and grill area. We have cornholes and giant jenga!

The property is also adjacent to a working farm that offers walking tours depending on the season—if you're interested to book, just let us know!

➀ Lots of private parking. The property can easily park up to 7 Vehicles. 1 car in the car port and 1 large u-shaped driveway with a large grass area parking near the house

➀ Firewood for the fire pit is located at the end of the side walk (the smoke house)

➀ Fire starter is located near the firewood along with a charcoal starter. Grill and fire pit lighters are located in one of the kitchen drawers

1. Cancellation Policy for Direct Booking Long-Term Reservations (30 days or more):
● For reservations of 30 days or longer, a separate cancellation policy applies:
● Guests will receive a full refund if they cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled check-in date.
● A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made between 14 and 29 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
● No refund will be provided for cancellations made 13 days or fewer before the scheduled check-in date.

2. If you are local and / or under the age of 23 please notify us before making your reservation

3. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm

4. Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible

5. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed

6. There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

7. We welcome small, calm gatherings such as baby showers, family birthdays, and similar events. However, all events must be pre-approved in advance. Please provide details, including the number of guests and duration, for consideration. Large parties, loud gatherings, or disruptive events are strictly prohibited. Guests are responsible for ensuring all attendees respect house rules and neighborhood quiet hours. Unapproved events may result in cancellation of the reservation.

8. Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them

9. Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in)

10. As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property

11. The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted through Airbnb resolutions

12. No pets allowed

13. Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos

14. For your security and protection the property is equipped with an exterior camera

15. Please remember to take all of your belongings with you upon checkout. Any items left behind will incur a $50 Mailing fee (separate from the cost of postage). We will do our best to send your items back to you within a week

16. If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest you will be liable for the costs

17. If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding

MVB Crew

The Farm house was amazing! We had a crew working at MCAS Cherry Point for three weeks. Only a few miles away from the base and completely relaxing. We had a gathering by the fire everynight. Looking out into the field behind the house we saw turkey, geese and deer frequently. The house has just been remodeled. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed dining in moorehead and atlantic beach. Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Jay and Carol!
