The Neighborhood:
Prickly Pear Stays Jesmond - Short-Term AccommodationPrickly Pear Stays Jesmond is 45 mins to the Hunter Valley wineries. It is both a commercial centre and a dormitory suburb of Newcastle.

The Newcastle Inner City Bypass runs through Jesmond and at the foot is Newcastle Road, with bus public transport at your doorstep.

Jesmond is minutes away from Jesmond Central (shopping centre), the University of Newcastle and 10 minutes from the McDonald Jones Stadium. Only a short 20-minute drive by car to Newcastle CBD where you can immerse yourself into the Newcastle cafe culture and enjoy breakfast by the beach followed by a walk along Bathers Way or Nobbys Breakwall, or a hike through Glenrock for the adventurous traveller.

Getting Around:
Buses are the preferred mode of public transport in Jesmond.

There are multiple bus stops close to Prickly Pear Stays Jesmond, The nearest is Newcastle road before Blue Gum Road, 88 metres away, a 2 minute walk.

The major bus station is Seventh Street opposite Pilkington Street which is 400 metres away, a 10 minute walk, this bus takes you directly to Newcastle in 20 minutes.

Other Things to Note:
Prior to the arrival date, our system will process a $200 pre-authorisation to the guest’s credit card. The pre-authorisation is purely a hold of funds to act as a security for any additional charges that may be incurred, such as any damage. We also require a photo identification prior to arrival which must match the reservation name. More information is included in our terms & conditions.
