Our stay in New York was very fun & exciting. The unit was very clean, kitchen stocked to our needs but unfortunately there are several issues with this listing. The communication with these people is virtually non existent. I sent messages months b4 we left, & once we arrived. First night we had no internet, didn’t have enough bedding for all 4 of us to sleep. I called the phone # listed to only get a message machine. The lady who answered the next was actually frustrated with me when I told her I had called and said they were closed when we arrived and during open until the next morning?The listing shows this beautiful condo with a fantastic back patio full of furniture to old, torn non useable furniture. The listing shows the living room with a chair to sit on, no chair. The rug was so beat up and rolled on every side we had to remove it because of tripping hazard. They advertise 2 queen beds & 1 twin bed. It was a rollaway bed! That’s not a twin. The neighborhood is known for its horrible bad location full of drug dealers that some Ubers would not come get us, and most others complained about the bad unsafe neighborhood and asked us why we would stay here! Every blind in the place is ripped, missing slats or just wouldn't work. They did a great job of the unit being cleaned but over all we felt very unsafe, and not comfortable for our group of 4 friends. Very disappointing! Plus the front door is so janky you see light between the door and the fixture. Anyone can get in!

Die Wohnung war ok, allerdings waren an allen Fenstern und der Terassentür alle Jalousien defekt, hingen meistens nur runter. Das Besteck ist auch sehr mager, keine kleinen Löffel, keine Frühstücksmesser (wir haben uns dann was gekauft.) Am Tisch standen nur 2 Stühle, bei 4 Personen natürlich recht ungünstig und der Tisch war auch sehr klein, da können keine 4 Personen eine Mahlzeit zu sich nehmen. In den Schlafzimmern und in der Wohnstube gab es Fernseher, aber nur die Fernbedienung in der Stube hat funktioniert. Der Vermieter wollte Batterien bringen - darauf haben wir vergeblich gewartet. Die Schlafzimmer, das Bad und die Küche waren soweit ok.

Soon out furniture. Crumpled blinds. Paint damage and dirt everywhere. A sliding glass door that could not be closed because the locking mechanism was completely detached. All while being across the street from a crack house. Somehow the host did not see this as a safety concern.

Communication with renter is through auto reply messages. I was told for check in to double park and input access code to get into building but was given 4 different codes to use for everything had a lock. It was all very confusing and the apartment itself had worn down and broken furniture and blinds . Not worth what was paid. The area looked run down and neglected. The parking lot is private but outdoors, a huge oversized pick up truck improperly parked next to our assigned spot made it difficult to park our car and enter and exit our vehicle. buildings. Great long weekend!

My adult son had never been to NYC, this condo was perfect for our trip! We were close to the city, and transportation was not a problem. We had a beautiful view of Manhattan from the balcony. It was a perfect set up for us to eat together and just enjoy time together. I would definitely stay here again!

Apartment was clean

Apartment was clean and pretty well kept. The hot water lasted and the water pressure was good in the shower. The view is nice. The building is pretty secure. You have enter the building with a code and door to the apartment has a separate code, so i felt pretty safe. If you order food in, you have to meet the delivery person in the lobby of the building. There is an extra cot in one of the closests but there were no additional blankets. If you get there before 4:00 make sure you have somewhere to wait as you can not enter the looby until you get access. I think i got mone around 3:45 or so. There is a Keurig coffee maker and they do have a few pods there to get you started. There is also a laundry mat in the building for the tenants to use. I didn’t use it so I dont know how much it costs but its pretty convenient if you need to wash your clothes. If you have a car, there is garage access that comes with the unit. Overall, it was ok. This was my first visit to Newark so I wasn't aware of the condition of the neighborhood.

A city view form the city

I stayed here while in town for work. It’s in a great location in the heart of the city with easy access to all of downtown Newark. Covered garage parking was included, which is an excellent value add. The place was clean and comfortable with an excellent view of the NYC skyline from the wrap around balcony. The hosts were extremely responsive and flexible. I would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend this lovely city oasis!

Great Stay!

Took a mini vacation to spend time with family and this was the perfect unit for our stay. Comfortable beds, very clean, easy access to surrounding towns. we arrived very late, and had some trouble to access but after called VRBO it was resolved. would suggest VRBO or the owner to provide the full instruction vs. many messages 1 follows 1. the penthouse was good, clean and spacious. and good with a parking lot. the location is ok if with a car, but is not that place that you can go jogging in the early morning.

Great property

This is a great property, it is new, clean and the floorplan is nice and open. The building is secure and quiet! The only downside is the surrounding neighborhood. Being from out of town we didn’t know the area well. There wasn’t any good options for dining or a quick grocery trip that felt safe and convenient. We arrived very late and although the check in was easy, there were a lot of steps to getting in. Because of the time of night, it was very uncomfortable trying to figure out the steps for access. That being said, once we were in, the building was secure and safe and we were very pleased with the home.

Jewel in Newark

This is by far one of the most amazing houses that I’ve stayed at. It was exactly like the pics. The view from the living room & balcony is stunning. It’s convenient to downtown Newark & a short Lyft/Uber ride to Newark Penn Station. The hospitality and communication were top notch. The next time that I am in Newark I will always stay here.
