The bathroom was clean but extremely cold and rather small. We felt it needed updating, e.g the toilet seat was broken. The water was nice and hot though. Our room was very cold when we arrived, we gather one of the radiator valves had been broken by a previous guest. Once we had pointed it out Adrian came to fix it, but we felt it should have been warm and welcoming on our arrival. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was nice. If the house was full we imagine there would be a problem with the parking arrangements.

Clean, spacious and comfortable

Noone present on arrival but clear instructions had been sent by email to enable entry to the property. Payment had already been taken and a receipt left in my room which was fine although I would have preferred to pay with a debit card rather than that I use as a default when booking online. Nevertheless the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and I slept well despite the bright light from the lamp on the landing creeping under my room door. Parking was easy and the street outside very quiet. Would stay here again. Shower has excellent pressure too.

Lovely place

Fantastic little guest house, not easy to find as it's on a residential road (so we drove past it twice) but well worth a visit. Lovely couple run it and nothing is too much trouble. Comfy bed and the bathroom had everything you could possibly need. Good wifi and parking and the best part was the breakfast!

Great, comfortable stay in a good location

The room was small but very comfortable and with a private bathroom. Perfectly cooked breakfast in the morning, with requests submitted the evening before to enable quick service in the morning. Lovely owners and accommodation, not far from the New Forest and would definitely recommend to others.

Great place

A lovely welcome by the owner and quickly shown to our room. We were given several recommendations for dinner and went for the Thai option - a very good choice! The room was spacious and the bed comfy. There was chocolate cake for us to help ourselves too which was a nice touch. Breakfast was freshly cooked and again our hosts were around to make sure everything was 'just right'. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back. Highly recommend them.

Very warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Quiet comfortable guesthouse ideally situated for New Forest or South Coast exploring. Lovely hosts and breakfast to match What else do you need. Would rebook without hesitation.

This is a really top class B&B. Other operators should come and see how it should be done. This couple have got everything right. Highly recommended.

kate and Adrian are friendly welcoming hosts with information of surrounding eatery's. room was lovely, clean and tidy with good breakfast selection in the morning of cereals fresh fruit croissants and home cooked English breakfast. we would defiantly recommend this B&B

Quiet escape but close to everything

Kate and Adrian are wonderful hosts - very accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious. The room looked out over the back garden - it was very quite and the beds were super comfy.

Great stop over

Chose the beech lodge as a one night stop over after disembarking QM2 at Southhampton and en route to wells. The reviews I read were good and the property did not disappoint. The welcome was warm, the room clean and comfy however too hot. Heating was not adjustable and with the heavy doona provided it made sleep difficult. We could have opened a window but being energy conscious did not like to waste power. Breakfast was excellent

We couldn't have wished for a better experience - a home from home with a lovely family. We stayed in Room 2 which was light and airy with two windows with a pleasant outlook of a church. The room was extremely clean with an en suite shower room. Our breakfast was delicious each day, the breakfast room again light and airy and very welcoming.

A warm welcome awaits

Warmly received after long drive and immediately felt at home. Lovely comfortable room Location proved to be excellent for local sights and is only a five minute walk to town. Festive street lights made an evening visit there worthwhile. This is one b&b for the address book.

We stayed here as we had a family party near-by, this is a gem of a place. 1mile from the sea on a quite street, large rooms and so welcoming.
