Lighthouse Point Cottage is the shoreline vacation home you've been looking for in a quiet shoreline neighborhood. Enjoy all the comforts of home, steps away from the beach!


The space

Entering the home you'll find yourself in the living room where the large and comfortable couch provides the perfect space for relaxation at the end of the day with the family.

Can't leave your work at home? There are three work stations available in the home - two in the dedicated office located in a separate room off the living room and a built in desk in the kitchen. The office features ergonomic chairs and one of the two desks has a sit-stand option.

Is food your love language? Continuing through the living room you'll find the gorgeous and well stocked kitchen and a dining nook. The kitchen is stocked with coffee and tea along with salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to get you started. All-Clad pots and pans, baking dishes and utensils are all included.

For your convenience the cottage has a full size washer and dryer - laundry pods provided.

There is one bedroom on the main level and two bedrooms upstairs. Two bedrooms have queen beds and the master bedroom upstairs has a king bed. The master also boasts beautiful ocean and lighthouse views and a private nook with reclining couch and TV.

The home contains two full baths - one downstairs adjacent to the main floor bedroom and one ensuite upstairs. The downstairs bathroom has a traditional shower and tub and the upstairs ensuite features a jacuzzi style tub and separate rain shower.

Head outside to find one of our favorite property features - a fully enclosed outdoor shower. Perfect for removing sand from little (and big) feet after the beach or unwinding after a summer day. The back patio and large yard provide a ton of extra space for play and relaxation.

Guest Access

Contactless access provided by a keypad for the front door. You'll be provided with a personal pin code once your booking is confirmed. For your peace of mind this is rotated each booking.

I also live right across the street in the gray shingled home so please feel free to say hello and ask me any questions if you see me in the yard and/or at the beach.

The Neighborhood

We live in a residential neighborhood so please respect and enjoy the family atmosphere here. Quiet hours in the city are 10pm-7am (Monday-Saturday) and 10am-8am (Sunday).

We have miles of sidewalks right outside your door that run along the water. You can enjoy a walk, run or even stroll to one of our local restaurants, ice cream parlors and/or Ocean Beach Park which all are within a 1.5 mile walk for the adventurous. Our own private beach is just across the street to be enjoyed year round.

New London is proud to be home to the Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College, Mitchell College, Ocean Beach Park and Electric Boat.

Mystic is a 20 minute drive where you can visit the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, the Village and of course one of a kind shopping in Downtown Mystic.

For some Casino fun we have the Mohegan Sun, a 25 minute drive, and Foxwoods, a 45 minute drive, both nearby.

Drive to Boston or New York in 2 hours without traffic or jump on Amtrak in New London and enjoy the ride.

Getting Around

We live in a residential area so a car is the easiest way to enjoy all of the sites within an hour of our home.

If you bring your bicycles you will enjoy miles of sidewalks along the shore.

Amtrak Train service is located in downtown New London and is a great way to access Boston and New York.
