Cabane du Texas Star Retreat sur la route de la rivière Guadalupe

  • La retraite de Guadalupe River Road est située entre les 2e et 3e croisements, à mi-chemin entre Gruene et Sattler. Cette oasis sur la rivière Guadalupe s'adresse aux familles et aux couples qui souhaitent profiter de la rivière dans un environnement tranquille et échapper à la foule tapageuse et aux cabines de fête.

    Les clients de nos cabines ont la liberté de flâner dans les 6 parcs comme des hectares à l’ombre de chênes majestueux, de pacanes et de cyprès. Vous pouvez profiter d'une vue fantastique sur la rivière Guadalupe depuis les ponts de la cabine et les balançoires, faire une sieste dans un hamac ou jouer au tennis de jour ou de nuit sur notre court de tennis récemment refait surface et, bien sûr, passer du temps dans et sur la rivière!

    La rivière est accessible depuis deux zones: un ponton en béton avec marches descendantes ou un sentier naturel menant à un coin salon sous la canopée de deux cyprès massifs. En face de la propriété se trouve une étendue calcaire unique sculptée par la rivière où les gens aiment souvent traîner, jouer dans l’eau et regarder les toobres flotter.

    Si vous voulez un endroit où vous pouvez vous amuser, mais aussi vous détendre dans le confort, la paix et l'intimité, notre retraite ne vous décevra pas!

This place is absolutely amazing! The property, the location of the houses in comparison to the river, access to the river, the privacy and the hosts were amazing. Our stay was so much fun and the property is beautiful. The hosts,Carlton and Laura, go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay. We stayed at the TX Star house which was perfect for our girls trip. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked for next year. We highly recommend this property.

Peaceful river retreat

Stayed at this property for a relaxing and enjoyable summer getaway. It was a true river retreat & our hosts were AMAZING!!! Wildlife was a major plus & privacy on the river can’t be beat!

Carlton and Laura are great hosts! They checked on us frequently and were available if we needed anything. The river access was close and is a nice area to sit in the river and relax. There are a couple other cabins on the same property, but we never felt crowded or bothered. The guys enjoyed playing pickleball and basketball. It was a little warm in one of the bedrooms with no window unit, but there were several fans around the house we could use. I would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay at this river cabin! A special thank you to Carlton and Laura for being such warm, welcoming, and accommodating hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home and were always helpful and attentive, which made our experience even more enjoyable.The location was perfect! It is centrally located with easy access to everything we wanted to do, while still providing a peaceful and relaxing retreat for our family of 4. The river access was definitely a highlight and gave us plenty of opportunities to enjoy several river floats.Thank you, Carlton and Laura for sharing your beautiful cabin with us and for your exceptional hospitality. This was my husbands and I one year wedding anniversary and it could not have been a better trip! We were greeted by the hosts Mr. Carlton and Laura who gave us the lay of the land, their hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary and genuine. We enjoyed all the nature the property had to offer and the private water access to the river. We loved sitting outside on the deck watching the water and lightening bugs in the evening time and listening to all the locus while the deer in the back ground. Thank y'all Carlton and Laura for having us as y'all's guests. We cannot wait to come back.

Great family atmosphere

Don’t hesitate to bring your little ones but great for all ages. Lots of shade if you want it or plenty of sun in the river. Property owners make you feel at home and take great pride in the property and making sure you enjoy it.

Nevermind what the cabin has to offer. You'll never be in it! This location is the best! The river at your backyard? What more can you ask? Definitely going back.

We highly recommend the Rivers Edge Retreat

We had an amazing stay at the Rivers Edge Retreat. Carlton and Laura were absolutely the best..They went over and beyond for us. They aired up our tubes and even gave us a ride to where we wanted to be dropped off so we could float back to our cabin. This is by far the best service we've ever received staying on River Road in New Braunfels and we have visited many places. This location is everything and it is right on the river. Sobeautiful and so many shade trees which we love. There is so much wildlife we were able to see & enjoy. We highly recommend the Rivers Edge Retreat.Thank you and we hope to visit again next summer.

Right on the River, very clean

Carlton was there to greet us at the gate. He showed us around the property and gave us some tips for the river. We went on a couples getaway trip and the house we rented was perfect for us. They have several other properties on site that you could also rent if you were to have a bigger group. We walked to the river to hang out in the evenings, and a tube rental place was approximately a quarter mile up the road. The house was clean, and had most appliances and amenities you could need. Our small group has already discussed renting it again for next year. Highly recommend.

Another Great Stay!

This is our second time staying on Carlton & Laura's property. The cabin is very clean, and fully stocked. We have stayed at vacation properties that are completely bare. Paper towels, Kleenex, trash bags, dish soap, hand soap, are all provided. Even mosquito spray! The hosts think of everything. The property is secluded. Although there are other cabins on the property, you never feel "crowded." Two mornings we were the only people on the Guadalupe! I really cannot say enough good things- from a random request for string from my seven year old, to an impromptu photo shoot provided by Laura- the hosts go above and beyond to really make your vacation one to remember. I would not hesitate to recommend the cabin.

Relaxing weekend out of the hustle and bustle

This is an easy vacation and super relaxing - our kids enjoyed all of the open areas, tennis courts, and private areas on the river. Weekdays on the river allowed for us to have everything to ourselves. The owners were attentive to our needs and incredibly kind. We hope to go again with our broader families as renting out all houses on the property would be an incredible family time.

Great spot on the Guadalupe

Great place for a small family or if you have a larger group there are a few other cabin/houses on the property. Host is very accommodating and lives on the property and will help you with the lay of the land with tips regarding the river and restaurants around the area. We did no cooking on site but there seemed to be pretty much anything you needed to make a river meal happen including a gas grill.

Great Location On The River

The owners are on site and take care of anything you might need. The location on the water allows you to tube or just sit in the water and watch the other people float by. We will be planning another trip soon!

Relaxing and Rejuvenating

We had a phenomenal time at the property. The location is right on the Guadalupe river with easy access. Carlton and Laura run the property and are the most hospitable hosts one could hope to get, very friendly and care deeply about your experience. The cabin was clean and neat and has everything you need, just bring your food and drinks. Carlton even pumped up our inflatables and got the fire pit sorted for our kids each night, along with S'mores! We will definitely be back, you will not regret your time here.

AMAZING stay! We have found our river house!

We (family of four. Wife, two daughters age 9 and 18, and I) have been staying on the Guadalupe for many years and have stayed at many different homes from inside city limits up to Sattler. This year we found these homes and are extremely happy we did. We stayed Fourth of July and Labor Day Weekend in two different homes. They have several homes to choose from on their land. We have NEVER had the quality of cleanliness and service from an owner as we did for our stays here. For both our stays they were just a phone call or text away. The location on the river is great and we never hang out on the river at the house we're at because we love floating, but we decided that two days we would just sit in the river and hang out and had the best time. The homes were clean and ready for us when we arrived and the owners were there to welcome us both times, even when we arrived late in the evening for Labor Day Weekend. We strongly recommend y'all check out these homes for couples, small families or large families splitting up in these houses. You're close to the neighboring house but not too close. These are the homes we will be renting from now on when we visit the Guadalupe as a family or just my wife and I!
