Having the Marina so close by you could spend the day out on a Dolphin or whale watch, fishing or diving charter and settle in to the comforts of the cottage for meal at home and recharge for the next day ahead.

Beautiful Dutchman's Beach is your closest swimming spot, perfect for those looking for calm sheltered waters with grassy areas along the shoreline for picnics. With well maintained council facilities this spot is great for a beach Bbq. The Dutchie's bridal paths leads you from here to the Nelson Bay Marina and Cbd taking in beautiful views along the way. Nelson Bay is the hub of Port Stephens hosting restaurants, cafes, boutique stores, events, markets and more. As well as being the platform for cruises, the Marina hosts a variety of entertainment including musicians and free fish feeding. You certainly will not be short of activities for your stay with all of these options close by.


Bagnall's Beach is also nearby and is a pet friendly beach to take you Dog for a swim. Within a short driving distance to any of the many beaches of Port Stephens this property offers you the opportunity to do as little or as much as your holiday heart desires.

More than 100 dolphins live in the pristine blue waters of the Port Stephens - Great Lakes Marine Park. Dolphin watching cruises depart all year from the busy marina in Nelson Bay. For a truly unique experience, during the warmer months, you can swim amongst wild dolphins with Dolphin Swim Australia. Whale watching boat tours operate between May and November, when thousands of humpback and southern right whales migrate along the NSW North Coast. Just east of Nelson Bay, go snorkelling at Fly Point - Halifax Aquatic Reserve, and discover an underwater world teeming with sponge gardens, soft corals, sea turtles and a colourful array of fish.
Cycling & lookouts
Hire bikes and cycle the picturesque waterfront. The Bartlett cycleway is 5km one-way from pretty Bagnalls Beach to Little Beach, near the heritage-listed Nelson Head Lighthouse, built in 1872. In the lighthouse cottage, there is a delightful cafe with stunning coastal views. The Little Nel is another great local cafe. You ll discover more panoramic vistas at Gan Gan Hill lookout, where you can marvel at the natural beauty of the Port Stephens inlet, twice the size of Sydney Harbour. To the east is the magnificent Tomaree National Park and Fingal Bay. To the south are the giant Stockton Bight Sand Dunes in the Worimi Conservation Lands, one of Australia s great natural wonders.

The charging of any electric vehicles, electric bicycle, electric scooter, electric skateboard, segway or other like devices (Electric Personal Mobility Devices) or the battery for an Electric Personal Mobility Device is Prohibited in this property.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and neighbours, we do not accept bookings for 'Schoolies' breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow parties of any sort.

Kindly note a deposit of 50% AUD of total amount will be charged at time of confirmation. An option of direct deposit and credit card is offered.

A $500 Security Deposit (pre authorisation) is to be held. The bond will be processed prior to arrival. We only accept Mastercard or visa.

You can check in anytime between the hours of 3PM and 5PM on Weekdays. On weekdays after-hours, weekends and public holidays there is an afterhours check-in service. If you require this service, please inform one of the members at LJ Hooker Nelson Bay prior to your day of arrival.

Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed on our website which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email. This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence.

Terms and conditions apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you.

The guests limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund of monies including security deposit. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8.00 AM.
