Secluded Cabin ON Creek-Lake James/Linville Gorge

Truly a Unique Space secluded deep in the woods connecting directly to Pisgah Nat’l Forest and perched right ON the beautiful Paddy’s Creek! The property is at the base of the Linville Gorge and only minutes from scenic Lake James. **NO cleaning, pet or extra guest Fees!!**

The “Upper Creek Cabin” is one of the most unique spots you can find! Privately nestled into the woods only 30 feet from accessing Pisgah Nat’l Forest and perched right ON beautiful Paddy’s Creek.

The property is located at the base of the Linville Gorge offering unlimited hiking, views and waterfalls. Only minutes from scenic Lake James and conveniently located in the middle of Morganton and Marion NC, both of which are about 25- 30 minutes away.

The cabin has recently been remodeled inside with thoughtful touches and a blend of rustic and modern decor with all the needed appliances.

The king bedroom has a gorgeous view of the creek and the screened sliding door when open will let you fall asleep listening to the creek sounds. It also boasts a very comfortable tempurpedic memory foam mattress for a great nights rest.

The living room couch is a sleeper sofa. There are also two very comfortable recliner chairs as well.

Dedicated small side office room with outlets and counter for computer work. Wifi is provided but sometimes speeds are limited due to rural location. Cell signal is intermittent depending on cell provider.

The full kitchen offers a gorgeous view of the creek from the 4 seater bar. There is an apartment size fridge/stove and sink basic utensils pots and pans are provided and there is a gas grill on the outside deck area.

The bathboom is large for the size of the cabin and has a tub/shower combo, the toilet had water efficient dual flush options and plentiful shelving for a short vacation.

Flat screen smart tv is provided but there are no tv channels. You can stream with the wifi provided however please note that this is a rural mountain cabin so the speed is limited and can buffer.

Spend your days investigating the adventures nearby or just lounging on the porch enjoying the creek. This spot can offer a fun getaway or quiet restoration.

*there is another rental cabin you will pass by on your drive in-but your cabin is private from theirs. The abundant mountain Laurel and rhododendron bushes provide seclusion from each other.

The entire cabin is private and yours to call home during your stay. The portion of the creek in front of the cabin is yours to use too

We live on the property. We let you check in on your own with the key code. We let you enjoy your time to yourself unless you have any needs or wishes during your stay that we can assist with

The driveway is gravel and fairly long with a steeper portion, it has about an 18-20% grade to it. At times the steep portion, depending on the weather, can be a little rough and low clearance vehicles could drag. You need an AWD or 4WD vehicle.

Front wheel cars tend to spin gravel tearing up the driveway and sometimes not making it back up the hill.

For Friday checking we have a 2 night minimum to keep our weekend nights together. All other days have a 3 night minimum
Please no outside fires or open flames, fire pits, and please do not build a fire on top of the old outside rock grill due to high wildfire risk and close proximity to the National Forest
