Our kids were mesmerized by the boats passing by, and we had an incredible time as a family. Despite the rain during our trip, we still managed to relax and enjoy quality time together. « We rented for a small family reunion where we wanted to be able to enjoy a quiet gathering in a beautiful setting. This one was great. The house was everything we expected and the patio and view of cane lake was beautiful. The owner added his own touch with snacks, coffee pods, shampoo, dishwasher and laundry detergent and other stuff. Plenty of bath linens for a 3 night stay for 6 people. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything and would stay again. »

Close enough to downtown to walk or make the short drive. Host was clear with communication and check-in and check0out were a breeze. « I traveled with my spouse and 2 kids for a 4H competition in the area and came across this gem. The house and property are beautiful as is the art work throughout. Mr. Wilburn was an awesome host. After the competition, my family and I went to the Mansfield and Pleasant Hill battlefields which were just a short drive from the house. I will definitely be staying again the next time we find ourselves in the area. »

« First, we never intended to stay at this property. The original VRBO we had booked canceled last minute, because of flooding in that area. When we arrived, we were very pleased with the cleanliness, and beyond the normal comforts were available, should we need anything. We travel with all of our own blankets, and even pack laundry soap and dishwasher detergents, but had we needed for anything, the host had seen to every detail. « House was as advertised. Fishing was great. We caught over 70 bream. Only one garbage bag was supplied. The dishwasher was broken. The TV in the main bedroom was not working right. These issues would not be particularly important except for the fact that the rate was $275 a night. Otherwise, the location, views and fishing were very nice. »
