Private oasis on the grounds of Historic Ravenna Antebellum Mansion

This lovely brick pool house is on the grounds of Historic Ravenna Antebellum Mansion circa 1834-1836 and includes a private pool! The property is nestled in picturesque privacy among informal gardens that give the feel of the country while located conveniently in the historical district. This property is on the National Register of Historic Places and is within walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants, the Mississippi River, and many other historical sites.

The pool house provides easy, parking and private access for guests to come and go at their leisure. It boasts a spacious open concept living area, full dining space, kitchenette, and loft-style king bedroom space. The beautifully appointed, modern bathroom includes a large walk-in shower. This charming, light and bright space is equipped with 5 French doors that open onto a covered sitting area overlooking the large pool. Guests have full pool access during warm weather and can enjoy sitting poolside and luxuriating in the beautiful 3-acre wooded surroundings year-round. The Ravenna Pool House is equipped with convenient, modern amenities including: kitchenette with small refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, wine refrigerator, ice maker, and toaster oven; Internet, smart TV, washer, dryer, and full bathroom. The space has central heating and cooling, celling fans, and Wi-Fi plus TV with Netflix, Amazon, HULU, and more.


Walking through the soft, perfumed air of Natchez, is like taking a walk back in time. Enjoy strolling through downtown for destination shopping at the Natchez Olive Market, Olivina, Darby’s, and many other quaint local shops within walking distance in downtown Natchez. Enjoy dining at Natchez Coffee, Frankie's on Main, or Pearl Street Pasta, also within walking distance downtown. Also, a short 5 minute or less drive will take you to upscale dining within the Castle at Dunleith or Restaurant 1818 at Monmouth, both beautiful historic locales. Finish your day with a walk along the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and some of the most stunning sunsets you’ll ever see. There are also several places to sit for a glass of wine in the evening or enjoy live music. Natchez is a vibrant and active community where there is always something fun to see and enjoy!

It’s very beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. My granddaughter (18) stayed with me a few nights. The name “The Oasis”, suits being downtown Natchez, and having access to Ravenna guest/pool house. Thank you Carl and Mary Beth. Hopefully, I’ll see you guys in the future.

One word-magical! We arrived after dark and the property lighting, including pool area, was gorgeous! Just sitting by the pool (day or night) and looking out beyond to the immaculately manicured lawn, gardens, main house (gorgeous) was just what we needed to relax and unwind! Cottage like atmosphere was a dream. Walkable, safe area to stroll into town - perfect! Thank you again Mary Beth for making our 4 day stay such a beautiful experience cannot wait to return (didn’t want to leave)!

Wonderful place to stay, would recommend 10 out of 10. Beautiful historic neighborhood with a private getaway feel, a pool right outside of the door to relax and cool off in, beautiful place inside and out. If you’re going to Natchez I would put this at the top of your list.

The house was so peaceful surrounded by beautiful landscaping and historic homes. The inside was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was very relaxing. My husband and I had an unforgettable stay at this private oasis on the grounds of the Historic Ravenna Antebellum Mansion in Natchez. From the moment we arrived, Marybeth, the owner, made us feel truly welcome—her warmth and hospitality were matched only by her incredible knowledge of Natchez history and the beautiful Ravenna home itself.The property was the perfect escape: peaceful, serene, and surrounded by gorgeous grounds. As the weather warmed up, we took full advantage of the inviting pool, which made our afternoons especially relaxing. Every amenity we could have hoped for was thoughtfully provided, making our stay both comfortable and luxurious.We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a tranquil retreat. The setting is beautiful. Loved hearing a variety of birds. We didn’t use the pool but enjoyed sitting by it mornings and evenings. Appreciated the details including having a few snacks available. Clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

Natchez experience

Ravenna pool house allows guests to have a private oasis in the heart of historic Natchez. The downtown area is easily accessed from this location. We enjoyed strolling the streets, especially Washington Street, where the flowers and shrubs were in full bloom. We arrived at Ravenna on the final day of the Pilgrimage and really enjoyed the tour of the hosts’ beautiful home and learning about its history. Our two days were not enough to see and experience all that Natchez has to offer visitors. One warning to future visitors is that many restaurants and historical locations are not open on Sunday and Monday. Plan accordingly.

Only wish we had more time...

My wife and I booked the Ravenna pool house for our 12th anniversary weekend. This was a rare opportunity for us to have some time without our 3 little girls. Natchez is a beautiful, charming town and this was a great place to stay! It was walking distance to downtown, but also far enough away to feel secluded. The Ravenna mansion and grounds was beautiful as well! We were fortunate to be able to meet the owner and tour the downstairs, which was amazing. We had some great food and drinks around town. Our only regret is that we only had 1 full day in town. Next time we will plan further ahead to stay longer. We'll be back!
