Let me start by saying I am probably a bit of a ācleanlinessā snob because we have taken a lot of cruises and gone to Vegas where everything is in tip top condition. So with that being said, my first impression was that the hallway floors need shampooed in a really bad way. Also the carpet in our room almost felt grimy. I wore my flip flops!
We also had a terrible start with the shuttle guy being absolutely & unnecessarily RUDE!!!!! We had never been to BNA airport and werenāt sure where to find the hotel shuttle. We tried about 5 min to get through but keep getting a busy signal. I venture to think that he āaccidentallyā answered. I was excited that I actually reached someone but there was just chatter in the background. Like maybe he didnāt have the phone up to his ear. I was saying āhello, hello, hello???ā Finally about 30 seconds after the phone was connected, he was yelling, āMAāAM, HOLD ONā!!!!!! Then as he was speaking not very clearly and VERY FAST, trying to tell me where to go to meet the shuttle, he spoke in a very rude and irritated manner. I felt as though the front desk staff was short and not super friendly when we checked in as well. Didnāt seem like any of the staff wanted to be there that night. As we were departing, we appreciated the lil sweet gal that checked us out. I think her name was Sheila. SHE is what I thought āsouthern hospitalityā really means!!! They even allowed us a couple extra hours as our flight wasnāt until later that afternoon.
