This newly renovated two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is only two miles from Nashville. As you approach the house, you'll be greeted by a charming outdoor shelter with a grill over the creek. Inside, you can relax in our cozy reading nook, play games in the kitchenette, or unwind on the porch swing.

At Brown County Cottage, you can enjoy the best of both worlds—the tranquility of the countryside and the comforts of modern life. The cottage also features a sleeper sofa and two queen bedrooms, providing ample sleeping space for your family or friends. Come and experience the beauty of Brown County for yourself at Brown County Cottage.

Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!


PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

The cabin was cozy and comfortable and is a short drive away from anything you would go to the area for. The outside area did not necessarily match the photos. My only complaints on cleanliness were the shower not exactly being up to my standards and there was a big dead bug where all of the dishes are stored. There is not a dishwasher so we didn’t exactly feel comfortable using any of the provided dishes and silverware. It was still fairly hot when we went, and being someone that likes to crank down the a/c at night, I didn’t like that you couldn’t adjust the thermostat. No real issues, just minor complaints. Check in and out procedures were easy.

Nice little place!

Myself and my husband stayed here for a weekend getaway trip! We enjoyed it! Place was clean and super cute inside. It was close to everything and the hot tub was definitely a nice perk! The only thing that would be a negative was that the main road is literally right in front of the cabin but other than that we have no complaints!

Sister getaway

We stayed at the cabin for a sister getaway. It was perfect for the two of us. The beds were comfortable and the cabin is thoughtfully decorated. It is just a short drive to downtown. The hot tub was very relaxing and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch with our coffee. The weather didn’t cooperate but we still had a great time hanging out in the cabin!

It's a nice quiet place for a relaxing weekend and the motion lights were helpful at night in the driveway and leading to the house! I would definitely recommend and go back!

Awesome Friend Getaway!

This property was perfect for a girls weekend! The cottage was clean and adorably decorated. The location was perfect as it was only 8-10 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great so we couldn’t take full advantage of the outdoors, but would be a great place for a family or friends to walk around and enjoy all the amenities. Such a relaxing and peaceful property! Would definitely return in the future!

Girls Weekend

Overall, property is beautiful and close to Nashville. Cute decor. We arrived at night and there were no outside lights on and the large rocky path was difficult to walk on in, especially in the dark. Some hooks on the backs of doors would be great to hand up bath towels. The hot tub was amazing. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed our time there.

This was a fantastic cottage. Clean and updated and private. It was located directly off the road so some road noise was present but it wasn’t bad at all. It was a great location to all of the area activities. We live only an hour away but we felt like we had traveled much further! Highly recommend.

Spring Break 2024

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage. The place was just as we had expected and the pictures were not at all deceiving regarding the size of the rooms. We all said the sheets were some of the softest we had ever slept in and continued to say we would gladly book here again. The location was perfect and the amenities made it even better. Great stay!

Quiet little cottage get away.

The cottage was small and cozy. Quiet evenings at the fire pit or hot tub. Overall a great little place. The only comment I have is that light be available to get from parking to cottage. No light at back porch or in parking area. Came home after dark one evening and had to use phone light to get to back door.

Secluded getaway with beautiful scenery!

Very cute cottage with a lot of property behind and beside it with loads of trees and birds. We even saw deer two different times in back section! About a 10 minute scenic drive into quaint Nashville.

Exactly what we needed

This property was exactly as described and exactly what we needed for a few nights away. Close to Nashville but far enough out that we got the quiet and peace desired. Would love to stay again next time we are in the area.
